Spendaholic chick -
Just had a peek at your post. I can understnd your dilemma.
Basically it depends on what you want to do yourself.Mortgage rates are falling at the moment so if your card rates are suddenly going to jump up now 0% rates are coming to an end in the short term you may reduce your interest rates, but obviously you will be paying for a longer term.
It will also mean you will have gone from unsecured debt to secured on your property - having said that even cc companies can put a charge on your property.
The main reason people are against consolidation seems to be that many people see themselves as debt free once they have shifted the debt to their mortgage, when really it has only moved location, and unfortunately many then run up further debts and are back to square one again but with a larger mortgage to boot:eek:
You need to carefully consider whether you would be able to meet the extra payments on the mortgage/ and also resist running up the debts again. Only you yourself can decide if you can do both of these and manage the payments etc until your house sells - which will solve the problem for you.
I hope you find a way to go to your friend's wedding0 -

LittleAnna - if you look at the top part of the first page of the dfw forum there is a thread called the dfw dictionary which has what all the initials most used stand for, worth having a read if you are not sure can be like another language in here sometimes:D
