Maybe we should have a dfw summer camp in the orkneys:p - we can all turn up at yours fay:eek:pay lodger rates instead of booking in b&b, and spread ourselves about your huge rambling house and campervan, have a guided tour of the chooks, willows, garden, plants - not forgetting the dead stuff in the freezer, we could bring our own sleeping bags, lots of eats and a few bottles wine and have a house party.I'll volunteer to do the cooking, and I even like ironing:rotfl: :rotfl:

Did it work out for them? I suppose, no regrets! This place was a brilliant buy at the time and I had the same panics then, so it's maybe a natural 'am I doing the right thing' thought!

Yes, my friend and DH had a lovely baby girl who will be 1 in April. She's working 3 days a week with her mum looking after the little one. If they lived in Edinburgh they would probably have to put their daughter in an expensive nursery which would really defeat the purpose of her working.

They can still nip into Edinburgh by car or jump on the train.

Mmm if we start plotting now we might persuade her by the summer;) ;) (when the younglings go to stay with ex and the evil vet so we wouldn't be a bad influence on them:p )
Of course stripey socks and wellies would be dress code:rotfl:

And I have got about 13 bottles of Baileys, and about 12 bottles wine in my coat cupboard as my oldies all seem to think I do nothing but drink baileys in my spare time :)

Lol, sophiesmum, my parents are the same. They never drink wine but family always gets them some so they have a store cupboard full. I don't complain because I do drink wine.

Just been to sleep for a few hours, feel a lot better for it.
Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.
