Ok, I get it now. Can't the credit reference agencies check overseas addresses. I saw their website, and they operate in a lot of countries. Surely they are connected, or something like that.
You'd think, but no. There's a lot of laws involved in that sort of thing: for instance, the US branch of Experian can't share UK data due to the Data Protection Act, which prevents data going outside the EEC without express permission.
It is possible for the banks to credit reference people in different countries, but most of the time it is simply not worth the trouble. But we do have facilities that if we wanted to, we could get an American office to run a credit score and report back to a UK office. What would William Shatner do?0 -

She can use address verification for her Canadian address in that case. If she has a Canadian ID card/driving license with an address on, that can be used for her address, and then just her passport for ID.
Unless she has a Canadian bank statement, which would also be fine for the address.
Thank you for that BarclaysManager, I've managed to speak to someone else and they said the exact same thingCashback Earnt so far in 2009: AMEX £133.93, wepromiseto.co.uk £67.07, Barclaycard £25, MobilePhoneExchange: £28. TOTAL: £254.000
