Not a problem having a low limit on purchases, the BT is what most of us are interested inTo be happy you need to make someone happy.0

i've got a skycard, 3500 credit limit which seems quite common
using it on slow stooz (not that slow, 3500 nearly burnt in 2 months!)
the skypoints warrant some investigation, apparently I can trade in 250 points (for a spend of GBP250) to get a GBP5 credit on skybet. Bet it on some favourite ie 100 to 1 on, and i think I effectively make 2% cashback?
nice to add to stoozing profits!0 -
£3500 being a low limit?
I must be scum then to you as the highest I've ever had when issued with a card is £3000, and that was Tesco Personal Finance some years ago.
I'm getting this card...they didn't ring me, my confirmation was the PIN coming in the post during the week. Yet to get the card so don't know the limit.
If it's not near £3500 I won't post it....will get laughed at.

Daveboy-I think too that £3000 for an initial credit limit is very good. Some of my credit cards have been set at £500 to start with, then have increased with time and good payments etc.
I was given a 3.5k limit on the skycard which I was shocked at, then they increased to 7k straight away. Skycard have served me well and Ive had no problems at all.

OK Well you have all reassured me and my Sky card came thismorning.
Daveboy I would never call anybody scum and certainly not about credit limit as I think companies change policies on a whim.
Well reding up on the Skycard I think we will just go with it. There are other benefits and Transfering till next January gives me some time.
Also the minimum payments are reasonabily high which is good as it will bring down the balance nicely.
I think we will give it a go with a charming voice and see if they can incease the limit even just a little bit.Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

I got a skycard a while back, standard £3500 limit. After a month of using it they raised the limit to £4500 without me even asking them. Go figure:j The £2 CSC = £48 in carton£100 banked Mar 06V-Free : 4 weeks0

Same here.
My 0% runs out this month, will try and pay off the £3000 that's left on there and then ring up and renegotiate.0 -
I can confirm mine is £3500 as well, just received it and opened it.0

Its not surprising people have no concept of money anymore, when someone moans only getting a cl of £3.5. I assume this person would be happy to loan this amount to a perfect stranger not knowing much about them and yet we expect the credit card co's to give a fantastic limits straight away.
Credit should be earned not expected!0 -
Daveboy-Are you using the card for BT's? If so, they will normally double the credit limit!
