Well I thinks most of us can say it is getting tougher.

I'm in the process of trying to cut down on food bills. Energy bills.... well I thought I was doing quite well until BG wrote to me yesterday saying my electric has gone up from £40 per month to £98 per month

We have energy saving light bulbs, always turn things off, put extra jumpers on.

Weve got to buy something to seal the front door cause we have a huge gap at the bottom of the door and its so drafty :(

Looking into growing veg and herbs. Dont really know to much about gardening so I'm not sure what time of year to plant them. My dad has brought me a nice herb pot ( the kind where you can put loads in throught lots of different holes..... sorry I have no idea what they are called)

Thats a horrendous rise. SP tried that with me and after explaining to them (using their own energy consumption graphs online in my account) that I was using steadily less fuel (not leaving things on standby, energy efficient light bulbs etc) they agreed to leave it where it was. Give them a call and ask them why they've more than doubled your payment. Also see if they can switch you to a lower tariff. I had been on a capped rate and didn't know when that finished they automatically move you to their highest rate! Good luck.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

I'm not really sure what we can do further to economise. We pared a lot back when Mr LameWolf was out of work for 11 months, about 3 years ago, and I've tried not to get lax since then. May be an idea to tweak a few things though.

One thing I have started doing is making slightly smaller portions for dinner. Mr LW could do to lose a stone or two in any case, and it'll make the food go a bit further. We never have leftovers, as if it's prepared, he'll eat it. I swear he was a Labrador in a previous life!:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I notice some of you have the panasonic breadmaker. Which model number is it that you could recommend as there seems to be a fair few out there.

I do have a breadmaker but have lost the manual so tried a basic recipe and it came out the way i remember when i use to use it.....REALLY heavy and soggy.

    Thanks
    rigs.

there seem to be 2 panny models recommended, the one with the automatic seed and nut dispenser SD255 and the one without SD254.

I have the former but both are highly recommended :)
