  • don`t bother knitting a blanket made from squares. I have done 9 squares which it took ages and sewn them together and it doesn`t look very tidy. I am going to start crocheting a big border around it. Oh well at least it will be functional. MrsM well done!!!

We need to be make our protective bubbles strong and impenetrable. Maybe a bit of meditation, or something similar. The energies outside are very very strong, nasty and penetrating at the moment. They mustn`t come in to affect us and our well-being or they will drag us down. If you can`t do the bubble thing then don`t listen to the news for a while

I nearly went for the grande.. But being "frugal" I decided to go for the standard to use less electric -plus I really have no room to wedge any more portions in the freezer :rotfl:
I make my baguettes in the gas oven but it doesn't take long -so the fuel isn't too bad I guess -and I make 8 at a time and freeze them -when i have room.... they are gorgeous though :T

Thanks kittie :D _i have stopped knitting rectangles for now.. the ones I have done may get turned into a baby blanket..like you I think the sewing up will drive me up the wall... Im hoping that the crochet will get quicker and quicker... I only have 1 stitch at the moment -but I will learn more -eventualy

I know..im like a cat on hot bricks.. this is the 1st thing I have ever had a problem with and Lakeland said they send to BFPO all the time -thats why we think some thieving little toe rag is waylaying them
Can't fault Lakeland..how many companies would send out about £100 worth of stuff 3 times on the customers word  .. they have said that if they all turn up they will arrange to get 2 collected but heck knows how out here
I have the standard and the half pan coming and in the 1st was 6 bottles of eco washing up liquid @ 67p..but they had to refund that as it had sold out by the 2nd parcel
I WILL get one and im going to use it to within an inch of its life ;)

  • I knit squares whilst browsing on here, that way I don't notice the time they take, then I crochet them all together. That way the side with the crochet looks as though it should be there and the reverse is very tidy indeed. I have completed one pink and white baby blanket for an impending addition to my extended family and almost done a blue and white one in case it's a boy. Whatever I'm left with will go into stock for future use.

I'm really pleased with them as they are entirely from left over yarn so are contributing to my belt tightening exercise and I find that very satisfying.

    Bella.

I saw a volcano or storm kettle in the local charity shop on Friday but when I went back today to get it it had gone - sob!!!!!

Still not worked out quite where I bought mine from - but I can see that if one goes into the Permaculture Magazine shopping page the storm kettle I bought is there and a better set of accessories than I got - and at a cheaper price (sob! )

The direct link doesnt work - so the circuitous route to get there is:

    http://www.permaculture.co.uk/main2.html

-Then click on "green shopping" icon

    - Then click on "mini kelly kettle and cookset" and on the left-hand side of the page that comes up one finds kelly kettles (various) and cooksets.

If I was getting it again - I would get the traditional Kelly Kettle (which I have) and full cookset - £70 odd instead of the £80 I paid elsewhere (and didnt get the full cookset)

Goes off to remember just how to do this - thinks: now wasnt it white light down from above through the Crown and sending negative energies down into the earth? Must go look up my collection of New Age books.......

Anyone else find Earth a very scarey place to be?

Not half as scary as I find New Age stuff helping us ward off a recession. ;):D

I'm afraid I still don't think there's going to a be a revolution just yet.
