I can't offer to be a "mouse" with being out here (far to much postage) ...but i would gladly contribute... I really hope this ends up being do-able
Hi Mrs Mcawber, maybe we can both be "distant" mice. I'm sure there's something we could do.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I have a quick cup and love it. My mum bought it but couldn't get on with it so she gave it to me. I think you either love them or hate them. The water they give out is not quite boiling though so be warned.:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0

We looked at the Quickcup for Mum in law to avoid her having to lift a kettle. They might have changed the spec of them but at the time (prob 18 months ago) most of the reviews said they were fine for making coffee but that the water wasn't hot enough for tea.Piglet

I bought a loaf in my local co-op yesterday - 10p reduced from £1.42. When I took it to the checkout the girl rung it through at £1.42. when I pointed out that it had an orange reduced sticker on it she said "Oh, I always forget to look." It wasn't her fault in one sense as the sticker wasn't over the barcode but it pays to try and check the price going through the till. I used to buy reduced bread for the ducks but at £1.42 for a loaf I think we'll all soon be queuing for reduced food at the last minute. Whatever gets you through the tough times." My practical head came on again yesterday. Water meters and paying for water adds up too. [...] I also tried a shower with bucket and bowl in there too and I got half a bucket of water and that is the amount that is efficient at loo flushing. They didn`t really get in my way either.
If you have an over bath shower, to save even more water you can put the plug in while you shower. You can then siphon the water out of the bath with a metre or so of clear plastic tubing by sucking the excess air out first before releasing it into your bowl. Just remember to stop sucking before you get to the water  The bowl will be lower than the level of the bath so provided you keep the other end in the water, capillary action/gravity should do the trick.0 -

Er...you'll excuse me from joining in on that will you if I come visiting ever?;)0 -
What a lovely day for you sammy-kaye, one of those rare days when you feel fortune is smiling on you, so pleased for you.
Have I already posted that I would love to be a `mouse` too? I intended too, but can`t remember if I did. This pesky virus has made me feel so dizzy that I am walking round the edges of the rooms to stay upright. very amusing to the casual observer, but not so great for the one who is affected. :-)The more I see of men, the more I love dogs - Madame de Sevigne0 -
Count me in for mouses too if it gets going.0

That's a lovely story Sammy Kaye. I think that things often work out like that..difficult things happen and then something good happens to counter it. Often I'm still too wound up about the bad thing that I don't notice the good thing. We recently had someone who is a friend of my parents renege on a £300 furniture order. Due to knowing them we hadn't taken a deposit like we normally would and when it was finished they said they'd changed their mind. This put us in a very difficult position aswell as leaving a bad taste in the mouth. However, a few days later we met a lovely man who gave the small person 1500 stamps. So balance and faith in people restored!
