    hello mummysaver

    and everyone here,

just popped in and seen your post and am intrigued about the resmoska, is it the one that is sold cant remember the co name, im interested but am lurking about to see what others experience of it was first, ie what size have you bought, and if it does what it says it does, ie juicy chicken and crispy food etc

so will subscribe to this thread and have a read of your adventures with it if you would be kind enough to post - many thanks and also will read others posts on this - looks like a fun informative thread, gets me away from the debt thread for a while, lol but gaining more knowledge to still go back and reduce my debts,

well thats my method in my madness today - lol

have a fun day everyone wll be back as ARnie used to say

Thanks mummysaver, youngest wants to get into ebaying too (using my account). Told her how I do it, i.e. research it to see what will sell and at what price. So it should be interesting to see how she is with fees etc.

In Scotland the water bill is included in the Council Tax. It kind of softens the blow as you only have one rant when the annual renewal comes in. :D

and then you moan when you see how the council is squandering your money :p

sorry couldn't help it. I used to work for a local authority and the amount of money they wasted was ridiculous. I'm in Scotland too btw.

    Hi,

If you look around the OS forum, there is a whole thread about the Remoska
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

Hi maz - the remoska is fab, I really am impressed by it, like charlie's mum says there is a whole thread about it on the os board, near the top at the mo!

There are six of us so I bought the grand, the biggest one! So far I've cooked hm pizza, chips, focaccia, cakes, sausages, roast pork and roast pots, breakfast and have just popped in a large shoulder of pork to roast, smells nice already! I didn't buy the rack, just used the edge of a springform cake tin with a pizza tray on it to raise things closer to the lid, which is the heat source, good when doing chips or pizza.

It wasn't cheap, but I think it will save lots of money, especially since I can just bung in a few bits and not feel bad about not filling my big inefficient gas oven. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the lid does get really hot so you need to make sure you have somewhere nearby cleared to put it down safely.

unixgirl - my ds wants to start ebaying stuff too, now I know I have lots of junk around but I am slightly concerned that I may lose more than I want if I let him list stuff at will! Still it could be a money making exercise, wonder what split he'd want, cos I know I'd still have to wrap and post the flippin stuff! Still if I get rid of stuff I could start a whole new emergency "oh help, things really are getting tougher" fund!

Mummysaver, ours is too young for her own account so she'd be selling her stuff through my account. I'll explain to her listing fees, paypal fees, final value fees (no wonder ebay are rich). She might give up once she sees how little she might get for just one or two items of clothes

I used to work for the council too and still get annoyed at the amount of things you can see them wasting money on. I was for ever turning off lights and pc monitors and then they would go and buy posh biros when they could have made do with cheapy ones. They then wondered why they were over budget for the year. Makes me mad just thinking about it

Thanks I've just had a look at similar items to what she'd be posting and they aren't selling. If they are its for 99p etc, so by time she pays fees etc she'll be lucky to end up with 50p. I can see her giving up before she's started!

Those of you looking for cheapie pressies for the kids for christmas have a look at this which I just got sent by Amazon (a one week kitchen sale!) Would make a great pressie - I know you'd have to bump up to £15 to get free P&P but it would be a very OS gift....

Regret I no longer have any small people to buy for....

    Regards
