Xbox crystal for £30-£40 roughly IF U COMPLAIN

Options
heres a good deal borrowed from another forums!

xbox crystal console with sharks tale, sonic heroes and munchs odyssey (games can be sold for about £50-60 on ebay) for £89.99. this offer was so poular the store withdrew it - think it was a mistake to offer such a good deal!

anyway found out that if you ring up toys r us and ask for this bundle they will let you have it for the price as long as you complained to the advertising standards authority.

just worked for me and i have the deal now collected from my local store in manchester -also the store let me choose halo2 instead of munchs odyssee which is out of stock so i am buzzing!

what a bargain!!!

Good luck to you all  ;D

PS IF YOU WANNA DO IT THEN COMPLAIN ASA FIRST AS PER DETAILS IN THIS THREAD AND USING THIS LINK http://www.asab.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/complaints_form/

**** YOU HAVE TO COMPLAIN TO ASA FIRST AND AWAIT THEIR RESPONSE TO GET THIS DEAL AS TOYS R US ARE NOT HONOURNG THEIR COMMITMENT TO THE ADVERTSING CODES- SHDNT TAKE LONG TO GET ASA LETTER SO DO COMPLAIN AND THEN ENJOY - NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THIS WILL BE IGNORED AS WE ARE IN THE RIGHT - TOYS R US BREACHED THE ADVERTISING STANDARD CODES ****

This is going a bit far don't you think ???
You didn't spend the time writing to ASA anyway she will obviously notice ::)
But it is a bargain if you go ahead and complain - especially the deal you got :o

I have just thought about it again, I guess you have done nothing wrong and its their problem they let you have it - I really want that deal!

hi mate you can complain easily to the ASA on their website complaints form

anyway i rang her this morning and i already got the xbox from the local store where she told them to reserve it for me! so it works.

i think they have to do it anyway as they did something wrong/illegal on their adverts but you are better to complain tonight anyway and ring em up tomorrow and get yaself one.

i will try and find the link for making a complaint to help you mate :)

  • How would the number been given?

Do you say it came from a return letter from asa/toysrus?

yeah i just said i got a letter here from ASA and that it says if i ring up ***** ***** she will sort it out. she will then just ask you your local store and call them so there is one waiting for you. if youre lucky your local store manager will let you choose a game for munchs game as they didnt have that!!

but liek someone said you may as well register a complaint on asa website first (link already posted) so as you aint doing nothing wrong! :)

its pretty easy - just put what i already told you about the complaint (wanted the bundle for £89.99 and were disappointed that toys r us didnt supply it even though they advertised it in their leaflets )and in the other fields put your name and address. also advert was in all their leaflets and was in the daily star or daily mirror on 6 or 7 november
