Then the people you know shouldn't be so stupid as to rack up debt they can't afford to repay should they?
Now I spend what I can comfortably afford to repay. Can log on now to various catalogue sites and spend just under £3000 taking into acount my newly opened Littlewoods and Empire accounts but I wont.
Ordered from Littlewoods earlier, the princely sum of £52, £42 after discount which will pay off on receipt.
Same with all the others, spend and either pay off in full or in 2 halfs.
ALWAYS pay the same day my statement drops meaning its impossible to forget or pay late.Natwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0

Have been stupid in the past and paid the price with defaults.

I pay DD, it makes it painless. Since I have been paying everything by DD I haven't missed a payment. (touch wood)0 -

The person I am mainly referring to has three young children and lives in really crappy accommodation. I used to work with her and she worked two jobs and had no money. She used to take home uneaten food from the restaurant and i heard her asking customers if they had any spare furniture because her daughter's bed had broken and she couldn't afford to replace it. I imagine therefore, for somebody in this position, being given a 5k, 10k credit limit, where she can get clothes for her children and furniture and appliances, it's incredibly tempting.
I haven't been in her position, so I won't judge. By virtue of the MSE, "don't judge" policy, I must therefore assume you aren't merely judging and have been in the same position, right? There are thousands of people on this forum who have wracked up debt that they now can't afford to repay in all sorts of different circumstances. I hardly think that makes them "stupid" and it's a shoddy thing to say, especially on a forum like this."What...? I was only saying...."0 -

Once again I am sorry.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Please accept my apologies, under those circumstances she was doing what was best for her family; I should have question the circumstances before posting my answer.

S'ok, no worries, I guess I was a little ratty about the MSE judge jury and executioners and taking it out on you a bit!"What...? I was only saying...."0
