Madasafish Customer service help.

I know its a long shot but does anyone have a contact email or number for madasafish for someone that resides in Britain? There customer service department is woeful.

It's been 24 days since i raised a query with them. Basically my speed just slowed one day to less than 300kb, im paying for 8Mb. Spent 20 mins on hold trying to get through to there support centre. Gave up asked them to phone me any weeknight after 6, they phone at half 4 when im not in, then have the cheek to add a comment to my complaint saying they tried to contact me after 6 and i wasnt in! Its extremely frustrating trying to get help form them.

Does anyone know if i have cause for cancellation since they are not providing me with the service im paying for?

If anyone can helo id be extremely grateful.

  • Their CS reps did frequent this forum until recently. However, they seem to have disappeared and even a PM doesn't get answered!
The CS reps were Plusnet, which MAAF are now part of under the BT umbrella, and based in the U.K.
It might be worthwhile having a look on Plusnet's website for their contact details and trying to speak to Matt Taylor who was quite helpful and responsive on here with things MAAF until the desertion. http://www.plus.net/support/customer_service/contact_us/contact_details.shtml
Yes, MAAF CS do seem to have gone down hill somewhat since BT/Plusnet took over.

My speed has fallen from 3.5 to 0.12 - after much frustration with their useless tech dept, I phoned to say I was leaving. Was then offered to speak to a person in the UK. I told them I had had enough and was off. When MADAF asked why I was leaving I said the service had gone to pot since Samarra left .

Have ordered BT which switches on on tuesday so fingers crossed.
  • you're leaving MAAF (owned by plusent, owned by BT) to join BT.
    good call!

    who else do BT own?
  • Not sure....do they own any other ISPs? I'm always willing to learn something new, but I must have missed their other purchases ?!

Thanks for the replies and the link, il give that a shot.

duncansby, when you left was it because your contract was up? Or did you leave because they were not providing the service, and did you have to pay the remainder of the contract? Reason i ask is i would like to just leave, im beyond frustrated with them.

Thanks for your helpful comment. I am not an idiot and am well aware that BT own Madasafish. They are however run as two separate companies in terms of customer service and tech support

I left because I was totally fed up with them, however I waited until my contract was up. To be fair to them I did get my MAC code within minutes.
  • Same problems with me so phone on Monday past to see when my contract expires. Was told i could cancel now as it expires 6/2/09 and with 30 days notice that would take me over 12 month contract. Eventually got mac code and was then told i had to pay hardware and cessation fees totalling £120. Informed Claudis in customer service that i was not liable and he agreed saying he had entered details on my account to this effect, then to my dismay checked bank account there now and they have lifted £120 from my account yesterday so can't apply for indemnity claim.
So angry but have to wait till tomorrow to speak to another robot!!!!

Why can't you make an indemnity claim?

The direct debit guarantee says if the merchant takes money from your account wrongly:

you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid
