£50 Cashback + price match Car Insurance

We have to renew our car insurance in the next couple of days.
Barclays is doing a price match offer. They will match your renewal price, take £1 out of that and on top of that they will send you a cheque for £50 after you send in your renewal quote. This way they were the cheapest ones we could find.
The Post Office are also offering £50 cashback, but they were £3 more expensive than Barclays.
Hope this helps
Addendum: Just realized that if you go through the linemypocket site you also get £22.50 cashback on top of the rest!

Have you tried Lloyds TSB / Zurich / Screentrade with £75/£90/£100 cashback via topcashback? BTW PO cashback is extra £45 with them.0

Just did!!!
Thanks for that, I am off to cancel my Barclays policy (14 days money back blah blah blah), Zurich was more expensive, Lloyds only had £75 cashback, but screentraders is £100 cashback! Which means insurance will cost only £88!!! Hurray!!
BTW do you know how the cashback is credited and is it really £100 or is that just to get your attention?0 -

Pending means that the website in question has recorded a sale but the payment is not 100% validated - i.e. the product could still be refundable, the credit card might not yet be processed, etc. Once the transaction gets confirmed then the website has definitely accepted the sale and the commission can be considered yours. Confirmed purchases are rarely revoked, except in rare circumstances such as fraud. If such a thing were to occur, we would be willing to investigate on your behalf with the retailer to see if we could find out why.0 -
Ive just had an unbeatable quote for my 17 year old son from TSB, is there anyway I could get any of the cashback offers or is it just for renewals only.0

Cashback is for new purchases only. Usually it is cheaper to buy a new policy from the same provider (with cashback) than to accept renewal offer.0 -

Definetely try the TopCashBack website. Try the different brokers see who comes up with the best deal and who gives you the best cashback, they've beaten Barclays cashback quote from my orginal quote by almost £80!!!0 -

What confuses me is they quote:
£100 for Screentrade Car Insurance
£4 for iScreentrade Car Insurance
Obviously quite a big difference but I can't find any mention of what the difference is ?

For me screentrade were about £180 more expensive than TSB. This was weighing in that quidco offer £80 cashback for TSB and £100 for Screentrade.
The cheapest for me without cashback was with Quinn Direct by a good £60 but they don't cover windscreens. Luckily I was within 7 days of taking the policy before I had found this out out so cancelled and went to TSB. Unfortunately though it isn't all good news for me, because my damn windscreen is going to crack in a few daysDONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society

As you say, some of the companies where large cashback is available are quite a bit more expensive, but even once you take that into account you need to consider the level of cover / excesses etc which can vary widely.
Having searched through confused.com, my best deal is with Admiral. As far as I'm aware, there's no cashback available but they have the lowest policy excess so it looks to be the best all-round deal as far as I can see.0
