Hampster, I know, that's why I said it *whistles not so innocently*

Would quite like to have a parade of chaps available to me, all flashing their indicators, lol.....don't know if anyone remembers me saying about the latest swain to bite the dust turning out to be more married than separated...Well, last weekend I read a magazine article about keeping the romance alive in long-distance relationships and blow me down, if there wasn't a FULL PAGE written by his wife saying how every time he gets back to the UK, it's like a honeymoon, their love for each other just gets deeper and deeper......!!! Poor woman, I'm sure I wasn't the first and won't be the last but at least I kept my penny in my pocket ;)

Hi fay
Just to let you know that Darwins multi squred blankie is now underway - I have been to visit it this morning at my mums - it is growing at a rate of knots:D and is very colourful xx

SM I think you have made my day - that's so cute - do you want any more wool - we have tonnes here - was out in the beast today for a bit at the beach - followed by ham sarnies and hot chocolates.

YUM YUM - just written my seed labels - I am growing 10 different types of tomatoes - I think I may have over done it - theory is I plant the lot - sell most of them and keep 5 of each for myself - even if I only sell my little plants for £1 for 3-5 - will hopefully make all my compost money this year.

3-5 little plants for £1 doesnt sound to bad does it.

Boings off happy as a lamb to get covered in compost - thinking about multicoloured blankets!!!

Next year I will send all the oldies valentines cards for you!!

Warning!

When I am Old
I will wear Purple!

When I am an oldish woman (well 40 1/2),
I shall wear purple - -
With a stripey woolly multicoloured hat which doesn't go,
and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my PhD money
on flowers and stripey socks and lots of candles,
And say we've no money for PS2 games.
I shall park up on the pavement when I'm tired of driving Darwin
and gobble up samples in shops
and press alarm bells
and drive my BRB wearing my stripey socks along public roads,
and make up for the not-so-sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my daughters purple crocks in the rain
and won't pick flowers in other people's gardens
and learn to spit at horrible vets!
You can wear wonderful stripey shirts and grow more fat
and eat three pounds of sausages at ago,
or only bread and fishfingers for a week,
and hoard pens and pencils
and stripey socks and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry,
and pay our rent (using the lodgers money)
and not swear in the street (too often),
and set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner
and read the papers (online).
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me
are not too shocked and surprised
when suddenly I am old,
And start to wear purple!

hi all
i've been having a bake fest whilst OH has been building the raised bed outside.
I've baked plain and coffee buns, a mincemeat cake (have 8 free jars to use up) and some coconut biccies. I've also got sausage casserole in the slow cooker to go with giant yorkshires for tea.
Unfortunately there's loads of washing up to do, but as least it was warmer than being outside. got to start thinking about my seeds soon, it's March so i'm sure i'm allowed to start them now.

Yeah I have been given it several times from other people - who have actually met me - so SM you are spot on the mark.

There's just something so magnificent about the colour purple in all its hues.

Just told DD about the blanket - she fell over and is beaming. Thanks its ace. She in now sititng infront of the fire wiht knee length stripey socks pulled upto the top of her thighs over her pj's - I don't encourage her at all - its clearly genetic.:rotfl:

Well done on all the cooking and baking - I wrote my labels today - so I might start sowing quite soon as well. :) Love this time of year.

In true DFW styleee I have just pruned some of the rampant jasmiNe in the conservatory and popped some in vases around the house - no flower purchases this week - I think a lawnmower is more than enough for one week.

Note to self - MUST HIDE PURSE.
Second note to self - WE DO NOT NEED ANY FOOD SHOPPING THIS WEEK
