hi Fay *waves lots*
Glad your results are interesting.
ref the house and no pets issue. Is it worth sending them a picture of peedie pup and saying please, especially if they are advertising it again....
and i agree shopping lists WORK!!!I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
0 -
chev you're right, i so wish i'd gone shopping with a proper list not just the back of the envelope one, i certainly wouldn't have spent as mch as i did in the end.
got some more tidying to do today, didn't get far yesterday but did get the accounts audited which was good, at least mum's now off my back. Trouble i've got is much of the stuff lying round the living room is fabric for the sofa's and the quilted curtains i'm going to make, but i feel if i actually do the stitching i'm not tidying up and therefore not improving anything. Does that make sense? probably not.0 -
It so does make sense LT! Can you just spend 15 mins tidying up ROUND the material and stuff, and then spend half an hour sewing, and then you've done both??
Fay, you're doing greatSo inspiring to pop in and see how well your doing. Grrrr about the naughty house person not wanting Peedie - how could they not?? I'm a firm believer though that cheery things happen, so fingers crossed and wait and see...
(that training sounds good too - like you say, another string to your bow!)
Looking forward to a cheery read of your blog later too, hooray!

EH - nice info about the cream - will see tomorrow if I can get it here if not am in Inverness on Friday/sat/sun
Daff's lovely to see you - yup started blogging again - need to polish up my writing and start appreciating what I have and must get out more and take some nice photos!
Make-up I know what you mean - but its a small non-anonymous place here - which is great as it makes mostly for a crime free existance but also means you can't be liberal with the truth (unfortunately)!
I've had a hectic weekend
Got a couple bargains from the red cross shop in neighbouring town
Met an old pal and her 86 year old mum for a bowl of soup and a natter on Saturday
Lovely walk on the headland
Lovely evening with DD on Friday
Lovely evening with DS on Saturday
Started a darwin blanket by random crochet (I'm not very good yet) my squares look like circles or blobs
Got half a side of Darwin curtain-railed
Emialed New Zealand about a house in Orkney and they phoned tonight - (service or what) 3 bed place with an option for an office, 2 bathrooms, 3 beds on a hillside in central Orkney......we had a nice chat and they are emailling me more details so I can go visit and we can talk some more. (so that's a bit positive) - will see what happens of that.....
Need to read properly and reply properly.........:)
Re the shopping - yup I get what you are all saying - but aside fruit and veg I don't generally 'need' anything (maybe that's the problem???) - I'm just going in regularily to get reduced milk/bread/meat which is why my spends are over - I go regularily to make sure I keep topping up the freezer/stores and to optimise BOGOF's- I need to displine myself I know I need to go regularily to make sure I top up my stashes but I knwo I need to sort a better system. I've not paid full price for milk, bread or meat for a long time, (>18 months!??) so the system works on that level but my spends are regularily over budget (maybe my budget isnt realistic????)

Morning Fay! Glad you've got the crochet going - I can't do it, I went to a class, I've looked at tutorials on youtube, and my fingers hurt too much with the fiddliness of it, sadly, so I'll have to stick to knitting.
Yep, tho, I did go to the Egyptology in the end - it was interesting, but I'm sure the info. could have been arranged better - e.g., not backwards! He was so proud of presenting it bckwards, whats *that* about ? :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
well done on crochetting Fay, i've got a rather large blanket that i'm slowely crocetting, but i also started and have almost finished knitting a baby jacket for my friend last week. I think my problem is that i start too many things, and they all have to be done NOW!0
