hotel Inverness :) quidco, cashback and OH seems to think it was £15 more expensive than I said it was cos he's just transferred the money and its too much - do I tell? Or consider it a booking fee? I've bought some bits from boots for a home made MOT hair done etc - so it will cover that!

Fantastic Alcohol Free February Challenge (on the cutting down thread - I'm the lunatic that offered to score this month) - over 35 of them to try and score

Thank goodness for Marru's post about online spreadsheets!!

    Hello!

Aiming to have paid a total of £650 off by the end of Feb - bit of a tall order, but I'm doing some extra work, so as long as the van doesn't break down again (like it did TWICE in Jan), and I manage to stick to the budget, I should be alright!

PhD is actually rather pleasant now I don't have a looming deadline, and I've had a decent 2 months off to rest brain! Things seem to make more sense, and have more time to think... ONly got officially letter yesterday, and I get a year from date of letter, rather than from date of viva - so I've got til Feb 2011! Don't want to be there that long, but means the pressure is off, so I'll probably work better...

So all in all quite positive! Also found a couple of jobs to apply for that don't need a finished PhD (and are only 2 days a week! All a sensible person should be required to work in my opinion, lol!)

Hope your writing is bearable too...

Hope the people who approached you are ok with 2 months accom.
OH starts another weeks holiday today, so i had even more trouble than usual getting up - i really am feeling tired all the time these days. Just need to make a list of jobs for him to do whilst he's off - don't want him slacking do i?
Cheery - Are you going to apply for the jobs you've found or is that not an option at the moment.
  • Hey just dashing online before dashing to inverness - I check in at 3.30 - half a bag packed - lol

    Just back from the field

Writing - um not getting much of that done at the mo as have alot of data to collect and input - I like to input things straight after I've been in the field because you remember things better.

LT - giggles at the list - I've made one for my brother, just figure if he's at the house all weekend with the kids - then there are a FEW things that need done!

I also said to the chaps (lodgers) that it might be only 2 months or 2 1/2 and she did say that it wasnt perfect but our house sounded ideal and they would see if they could arrange something for hte last month. - I've left it with them :)

CD - I agree two days a week - much more sensible!

Have a lovely weekend chaps - can't wait to see my neice :) will miss the kids - they had the option of coming down but didn't fancy it. (more travelling was the response - not if we don't have to they said)

Hugs - lets hope I don't splurge too much money............x
