  • Hey KC hope you're good today!

Well in the SS household its grins galore at work as I'm out in the field - which I love (why I like driving trucks around fields and picking up hundreds of willows I don't know) I like being outside and I like hard physical work (gives me an excuse for a HUGE appetite!)

Left camera in the field - whoops as I've just got a new lens I had to go and get it - found it through the driving sleet!

Snuck past Co-op on way home and blagged 10kg tatties for 30p each - 3x pizza for 70p and some steak and kidney for 60p

I'm over my grocery budget for this month (AGAIN!) but thinking (hoping) it will work out eventually.

:) off to make a cuppa and obsess about houses again - DD to go to fencing later I might swing past MR T and Co-op again as their bread/milk wasnt reduced yet.

Oh the excitement!! I honestly love food shopping.

DS passed 4 out of 8 prelims so far - hope we hear about the rest soon!! Well done DS

Hiya! Fay, that sounds a great day, even with sleet! I wish I was as strong as you - I've kind of got out of the habit of hard physical work, and I *really* need to get my act together. In fact, I'm stopping obsessing about houses, and making sure I do my own house up ready to sell (i.e. clean, get Amazon junk out of the way, nothing major  ) I won't go full scale onto house hunting until I'm fit enough to do all that housework - and of course, I need to be fit enough to be swanning about all over the county looking at the houses, boy oh boy.

Actually, although the big stuff is difficult, I really, really really want to move, so for instance, tho I can't find the energy to completely wash up every single dirty dish in the house (there's always 3 cups and a couple of bowls left, and I think I'll do them next time, you know what its like) I *do* find the energy to use my clawhammer on an old chest of drawers to rip it apart, while rescuing the drawers to use as garden containers, and manhandle the carcass down 2 flights of stairs into the skip - I had to lie down afterwards, true, but it was quite something anyway. Thats the kind of thing that makes me think I just don't want to be living here any more, when I can so easily find the energy to start getting myself out of here!

Hey all, just catching up on the posts I've missed.

My 'weird food' thing is that i don't like things on my plate that I'm not going to eat - like bones, skin, fat etc. I like meat but I hate the bones so if I'm at home, I'll cut it off the bone/ fat before I put it on my plate. If I'm eating at someone else's plate I'll have to put it on the side but I much prefer it if there is a side plate that I can pile it all onto!

Anyway, things seem to be going well with you Fay - glad you getting out into the fresh air - although it is freezing, I'm sure it is good for you!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
  • KC I so know where that comes from - I've started to amass packing boxes etc - can't sort out my paperwork or actually tidy up the laundry cupboard - but I am thinking of humungous tasks to make moving easier. Goodluck with it all (())

LOL Makeup - your post made me smile

I'm stuck in limbo land waiting for our techician - I'm good but I can't man handle 4.5m long heavy bundles of willow all by myself

Just looked at my credit score - its gone up again this month but its still at poor (660) I think fair is into the 700's - I'm not on the electoral roll at my house for some odd reason - dunno what to do about that as I absolutely did the forms. ?

Lodger rent money moved into savings account just now until I divy it up
Other lodger is staying an extra week or so (her lease is expired but she's not offered any more rent)?? Dunno whether to be nice and just leave it or actually say something.

Paid on the 3rd Feb I think so that will be OK

Car brakes need doing - its never ending

The house I saw is advertised again in the paper - pah. Almost want to ring up and tell her I'll get rid of the dog can I come look at it - its not cheap £630 but it sounds good.

    Must think some more

I mean he's small and very cute - what's the problem? He's hardly going to eat a whole cow or a sheep - he's terrified of them.

Mind you its responsible I suppose - I did say we use to be farmers - but no use.

Thanks honey! I *can* sort paperwork, actually - I make a habit of collecting stuff - ripping articles out of mags or newspapers, old theatre or convention programmes, all sorts of things, its insane. I think I do it for the satisfaction of throwing it all out a couple of years down the line. In fact, its what got me into decluttering in the first place - I've got a three bed house here, and I was sidling around all the bookcases

 Of course you say something! Nicely, whatever- in truth, its not up to her to offer, you're the landlady, you lay the rules down! Think of it that way, and good luck.
