Well 3 boxes of curry and rice ready for the freezer and 3 more boxes of rice ready to go.
Almost a NSD as I only got petrol (in budget) - student chappy is back (she's in good fettle)
I'm a bit on the unmotivated and glum side - works an air of 'disappointment'.
Anyway off the bedfordshire now and get an early night......xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

thanks for the information fay, i think this will be the way to go. please can you give me dosing instructions, roughly our plot is approx 25ft wide and 37ft long. If you treat the grass do you have to wait for the grass to die before you start turning the soil. I'm working on OH accepting that you need to do a bit at a time on these huge allotment thingies
I've just updated the figures for next months accounts and unfortunately it's gonna be tight, i've spent way too much money so need to raid a few 'savings' accounts but def not diavolo's account! Just gonna have to be mega careful and go back to not spending much again.0 -
((((((((FAY())))))))))) don't be unmotivated and glum! Hope nobody's being fiend-like towards you at work - we can still arrange the 'supervise yourself off a cliff' event if necessary...0

LT strengths differ - you'd need to get hold of the one you are using and then we can go over a 'dose rate' for you - I can PM you with info
Cheery - nice amount paid back to Mr Daffs - hope you're ok with you own write up
Decided here that I work like a beast all year and hand in Dec 2010 and then viva in Feb 2011
So dunno whether to have the bulk of it all sorted (in my dreams) and do the 'get your coat you've pulled fest' in October or whether to wait until the evilness is gone out of my life?

Hmm, can see both sides of it..... my first thought was leave it til after you're finished, would be something to aim for and also means that you don't have to come back after lovely time off and you might be having it at the back of your mind while you are away which would be awful.
However - why should you put things on hold for the academic stuff when it has caused so much stress so far????
What does OH think? I seem to recall he was keen to get it done before his birthday???I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Ooh - Allotment Plotment excitement there LT - excellent news. They are hard work but very rewarding - when we lived in London we had two plots which we loved - when we moved though the one we got locally turned out to be solid clay soil and totally unworkable - we had to give it up in the end as the digging was too much and it turned dfrom being enjoyable into a chore.
The bok we had and swore by was THIS ONE which we found was invaluable. Carpet is great for getting rid of weeds but best if used on smaller areas at a time. If you can avoid rotavating at all and just dig it all over I would - the warnings about weeds getting chopped up and multiplying above are to be taken with deadly seriousness! Another thing is to get to know what weeds you have - take photos on a mobile and identify on the net when you get home if you have to.
Oh - and one final bit of plotment advice from me - never, EVER plant vegetable spagetti squash. Yes they look like fun, yes, the seed packet will say that they taste delicious, in fact they taste of next to nothing and grow like wildfire, and because everyone else knows they taste like nothing you can't even give 'em away to plot neighbours!
Fay - hang on in there at work honeybunch - just thing how blissful the five weeks he's away will be eh?! As for your dilemma with welliefest -v- work, If you honestly think you WILL get the back of the work broken by then, go for it that way, if not, you might do better to delay until after you're done with the workload, you might find yourself totally frazzled from too much stressful stuff going on otherwise. Good luck with making a decision.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

thanks EH i have had that book for ages.
Now that so many people who's opinions i respect have said no rotivator i guess that's how it will be. We did buy some sachets of weed killer today that you have to water down, each box says it does 150m2 but i'm not sure how many meters we have in total but it's lots. It's rained all day today, so we haven't been up to the allotment but tomorrow we are going as someone is giving us some pallets so we can make them into raised beds, my sister is giving us her compost bins so we're sorted there.
you should all be proud of me..... i went sycronised drowing today, i bought myself 10 sessions last may to make me go and today i used my first session. I've got 2 planned next week as well. I've also been offered gym membership as a birthday and chrissy pressy and i'm seriously going to take it up (i think) i've got a lot of weight to lose and this is my year to get rid of most of it.0 -
well done LT on the drowning or not drowing IYSWIM
Waves at EH and Makeup and L!
Yeah I need a think and a talk with OH I feel - we're due to meet up 'alone' in two weeks time in Inverness having a weekend in Morayshire and are thinking of exploring that part of the coast a bit to look a where to live after Orkney
Need to do an update - currently being pushed off the sofa by a small furry mutt
Just posted xmas photos on facebook - I've never been sure of it all but its an easy way to 'share' our photos with family.
My lamp came - its gorgeous - (LT v happy to look at your ones as well, I've really fallen for this one - its now in the downstairs hall and is lovley when you walk in or go up and down stairs
I also took a foray into stripeysocks land and bought 12 pairs of knee length stripeys for £6 on ebay - a huge parcel of socks arrived, how we laughed when we opened it.
Been to charity shops (1 fleece, 1 stripey tshirt, a book and a candle) and beaches today with muttlet!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
