did you enjoy the film? we saw it a little while ago, and whilst it was ok, i felt it was just like lots of other movies rolled into one and not as exciting as any of them, and i'm not a film critic usually

Peedie looks like he's having loads of fun, our snow has gone now which i'm pleased about, what it like up your way?

Hey Uni - you've been mega busy!

HOpe the job is OK you sound more upbeat now - yeah it seems like along time ago that I recieved my first bottle of stardrops from you!!!!:D

Peedie is still as naughty as ever and refused to come off the beach today the wee monkey!

LT - I liked the effects but yeah movie was pretty much lots of things rolled into one - but it made us chuckle it was so unrealistic

OH away home, been talking alot about houses. No conclusions reached

Hugs to all - had a lie in today (11am) DD was at a chums house, peedie was crashed out and DS was sleeping late - talk about losing half the day! Must have needed it though I figure

fay, glad you were able to crash and recharge your batteries, i feel that i managed to get a little more sleep as i made it to 9am before i got up.

I think i'm finally realising what i'm letting myself in for with the recovering of the sofas. we took all 20m of fabric to the laundrette and did tumble it for a little while but we've still to get it dry which i feel is going to take forever. We're currently stood ironing it to get the few creases out but also to take so of the damp out of it. I stood and ironed for an hour and a half and OH has now taken over and i don't think we're even half way through it, i think i've spent too long trying to get it drier when i should have just concentrated on flattening it. Oh what a fool am i!

we did pop and see the allotment, didn't get there until dusk which made it interesting but it's HUGE, OH thought he'd staked out our share but it was only half our share. I think i'm going to need to utter a rallying cry to MSE'ers to get some help as it's covered in long grass and i'm not sure just where to start.
  • Oh no to the fabric

And you know any help I can possibly give you re allotment is absolutely yours ask away.

If its really choked with grass you might want to think about a weedkiller, but might be worth checking with allotment central to the rules regarding using chemicals. There are very effective ones which are inert when they hit the soil, so your veggies are definately not at risk

Let me knwo what you think and I can aid a master plan for you :)

I'd offer to iron, but you are a long way away - but i'd lend a hand if I could, just imagine how lovely these sofa's wil be when you're done!

Today's turned into a bit of a do some stuff at home type day but not much - my brother turned up late for a cuppa and a natter, he's offered to watch my kids (his xmas pressie to me was a weekend of babysitting) so OH and I will have a weekend together on the mainland in Inverness in early feb - our neice will be one and she's having a wee party, so we're going to help out at that for a couple hours and stay and have dinner with Mum and Daddy afterwards.

About to quidco the flights and look at accomodation for one night to have some *us* time

  • Brand new shiney day here - well its brand new and I'm squinting therefore its bound to be shiney.

I just paid some money back into gargamel so he's at 223.23 now - it had been moved into my other account to avoid an OD charge as I've cleared that accounts OD - so it was only for a few days to avoid that

Not much else to report - Darwin has his own money now sitting tight, DS has a saver now to help him save for his trips this year (Switzerland and Canada - a week apart from each other)

Dreading work today - but not shy of being able to go in and brass it out - but its not a nice feeling - just a week of stupid supervisor left until he is off on holiday for 5 weeks (hooray)
