  • My report went in (late) rushed and its terrible - if this is their idea of making me feel like I am developing and feeling nutured - then I seriously give up.

Got alot of sorting out to do at home/work as I've done nothing but sit at a computer for what seems like a week

Hello to all - I am cream crackered.

The worst thing about it all is I know somewhere in there I can do better - I just wish someone could give me a torch and show me the way to get all this stuff out of my head.

Onward though - another (consultancy) paid report to finish for Friday - lol (same department - different hat) ironically for more dosh than I get at the moment - wierd eh - I keep forgetting I am actually qualified to do 'something' properly - even if its not a PhD.

    Socks to the ready!

doesn't seem strange to you that you're not considered capable enough to write up your PhD stuff yet you're able to write up consultancy reports and get paid for it. What does that tell you.

Our finances are currently at risk - OH is out shopping, he's got instructions as he needs to get things like a microwave, shopping and another calor gas bottle. I'm shaking to think how much he'll actuall spend, i do know he says he's followed all instructions on the microwave and has got it's pretty resonably.

Do the report and take the money, take the money:D

I found some excellent socks you'd love- good for meeting with people that you'd rather push off a cliff

    They're bright yellow ( think luminous 80's style) with a green/pink/orange camoflage print ( again 80's lumious).
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D
  • Catspaw - those socks sound like they need sunglasses!

LT - hope the finances are OK :)

away for a mooch about the boards!

Evenign chaps - sorry not been about for a goodly few days

Worked like a demon so had a complete No spend weekend

Sorted out online instant access saver accounts for my annual car travel money and also for extra bits saved from frugaleering

I've renamed both savings accounts - one is called Darwin's money - he's the campervan so he gets the travel money

One bank saver is called Humphrey - thats the frugal account - remember the Humphrey ads about the milk in the 70's??? (watch out watch out there's a Humphrey about) so any extra money is being sucked straight into that account

Works full on and that sucks a bit - find out on Friday if I keep my stipend til Dec 2010 or I get booted

At the moment the lack of money is more appealling - but will see (LT you are so right by the way)

Other frugal news is hens laid 5 eggs since the Friday (2 hens) and we used a couple for special fried rice tonight

Working on an extra report at work to write up from summer field work, which is paid consultancy so trying to finish that to invoice it next week - 2 days work should be about £300 (ish) :) in Feb

Pal sending money for xmas Wii purchases £67 that will go into Humphrey (who keeps gargamel company but at another bank)

    I now have 5 online savers - that's a bit bonkers isnt it - I blame Luceille entirely (:))

Popped next door as the bloke needed some gardening advice - ended up he offered me a service on my mower in exchange for a couple hours gardening work (he needs a 15m hedge dramatically cut back) - when I offered a shot of my shredder - he countered with an offer of a lobster It wont be til April when we swap but its great to have gone around for a favour and have a laugh 'negotiating'

Now that's what I call good swapping - he's delighted as he needs a gardener, I'm delighted cos I get to keep the shreddings for my path and I love lobster!

Total spends this year so far are on lots of reduced stuff at supermarket, postage and one lunch for girls at cello workshop : 65.49 (groceries) leaving our

    6,000/5934.51

Hope everyone is well, warm and fun :)

Sorry for the long frugaleer type post :)

Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700
    :TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!
  • Hey there lady lady - mucho impressed with the cake!

    2 with lloyds
    3 with RBS

    I bank online with both

The RBS one took a couple days to open but the Lloyds one appeared (as if by magic) after I opened it

If you're registered for online banking they take a nano-second to open

:) - (commission to Luceille mind!)

i've got 6 online savers, was going to say 5 but just remembered the natwest one.

sounds like you have good neighbours who are able to make good deals (much better than my neighbours).

funny you should call your account Humphry, my dad was a milkman and found a baby on the depot doorstep one morning, he was given humphry as his middle name. Don't know if they ever found his mum, i was a kid at the time so just a bit miffed that he didn't bring the baby home with him (so was my mum!)
