Fay, i asked about the surveys as I was racking my brains (not got much left especially after this afternoon) as to how you could make a few extra pennies.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
  • Aww ta - I am looking to start off my seeds and wee plants soon to see if I can make extra from those on ebay once I get into swing of things.

I think the main thing I need to do (you suggested it I think) is to keep a spending diary and see where its all 'actually' going. With the lodgers income and the B'B income (which is only temporary) I have enough to chuck extra to my debts - I just don't seem to be able to really see where its frittering away. Whilst is 'cheap' to live here from a 'what you get from your money space wise'. Lots of other things are very expensive and we have limited choices - like petrol its still over £1 a litre.

So things like cleaninng products (thank you for helping) etc and other expenditure I really need to keep a lid on.

I am hopeless at food shopping too, very good at it - but buy far far far too much - I need to concentrate on using stuff before I keep buying more (ahem).

On the positive side, great walk on beach today with mutts - used free grain for hens and collected 5 eggs - must have forgot to do it since sat...whoops!!

Guy in my office again today has mentioned the room - hes great if a little bit hard work sometimes - so I guess I need to think if I want the other 'spare' room tied up til Nov 2010 (when he goes). He's just being a bit odd about it. Need ot take the bull by the horns I think.

Hope work has started to sort itself out for you......where are you getting marriied Unix?

I'm still trying to get the venue organised Fay, but it'll be near Glasgow. As its a monday we're getting married I don't think I'll have too much trouble. I've sent off some emails (got prodded VERY hard the other night into doing it by my friend). I have my dress, I bought it last year in Blackpool (its FAB for shopping and a lot cheaper than here).

As for Ebay for your seeds and plants I don't see why it wouldn't work. I used to buy 'million bells' plant plugs off there but seller disappeared. Maybe check out the competition on ebay and see what works and what doesn't? Comparing different sellers.

On the food front a lot of people will tell you to meal plan. I don't stick to a rigid plan but will batch cook so i know I have stuff in the freezer that is ready made. I used to make and freeze sandwiches but OH isn't keen. Personally I don't see the difference and it made use of yellow stickered items and a sandwich was already made and I could take it out in the morning and its ready for lunch, or stick it in the toastie machine if I wanted it straight away. I find buying stuff every few days (probably works out as one big shop a week, then a little one to top up milk, bread etc) works better and I waste less.

    .....as for work

    Not much today
Did payment a day to scary loan thingmy
Asked OH if he would come up and look after homestead, chilblains and mutts etc for me to go on a writing course in March - HE WAS NOT IMPRESSED... MAYBE THEN SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE OFFERED??!! WE SEEM TO BE A PARTNERSHIP WHEN HE FEELS LIEK BEING ONE. HMMMMM.....

Yesterday i painfully put all my dd's both accounts into my phone notepad

Sorted out cleaning products (all in one place now and all topped up with water - bit like BOGOF but from the tap)

Sorted out store cupboard of food and random things we just won't eat are now earmarked for chicken porridge - today they got soya flour and raisins? or something else looked like a raisin once.
Then added several slugs from the greenhouse (not the food cupboard) so chookies seem happy.

Old toaster looked out, it needs the boingy bit sorting to stay down - will see if someone at work will do it then I will 'donate' it to the work tea room otherwise will advertise on freecycle.

Also emailed my office mate about room - so will see what he says if he wants it when its free at end of March.

Walked to work with muttlets not quite a disaster but not far off - two dogs one lead - one dog very small and slow, one dog very fast and taller .........must find other lead - in true DFW style I KNOW we have one and I am NOT buying one til I find it.

    - thinking seriously of 'garaging/selling/rehoming/' citroen. But NOT SURE its a berlingo and very very very handy - and I won't get much for it now I don't suppose - mayjust take it off road for 6 months to half costs?

Today I found a tenner in the wicker shoe box in the front porch.:j

    Hugely enjoyed slug hunt

Weyhey to the surprise tenner, don't you just LOVE it when that happens? I found a fiver earlier in the year and put it into my sealed pot, the number of times I've thought about opening the darned thing already, lol....

Kick your OH from me please, men infuriate me sometimes with their (hopefully in this case once he thinks about it - not) empty promises! I hope he changes his mind so you can go and do your course, if not, I'd offer to come up with DD, reckon we'd love it way oop north, not too sure about the ferry crossing, tend to get seasick looking at a puddle, lol!

As you like picking up slugs so much, fancy a holiday in Brighton? We're planning on clearing out our "vegetable patch" this weekend and I'm dreading it already, the little blighters are awaiting me.....(insert evil slug-like cackle here!)

I only do One Poll and Pinecone surveys now. I got fed up been screened out 20 minutes in! Having said that, it is going to take a long time to get to payout with One Poll - £40 payout! I'm up to £26.20 and that's since August....
