Fay (morning btw), I do most of my DD's on the first couple of days of the month. I only have 2 that are different, that come out a few days later and mid-month. The one mid-month I shifted myself when I was a little skint and I knew I had extra money coming in later. I like to think it gives me a better picture of what exactly I have (or that how I used to think), but now I just budget cash for everything else and then if I don't have it I can't spend it.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

Blimey, if i had all my dd's coming out at the same time, I'd be overdrawn to the size of the national debt, lol. I'm probably the only person who pays nursery fees by cheque, to their eternal chagrin, as if it came out on 1st of the month, when my mortgage does, I'd be overdrawn and playing catch up all month.....0

Hi KK and UNIX
Yeah prob is my 'stipend' is paid anything from the 1st of month til (the latest it has ever been is the 21st)
so I have moved things to the 15th but not sure how sensible it is with my grant - BUT I don't want all that money in my account til end of month.............
Its a juggling act eh?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Fay it really depends on whether you get paid monthly or weekly. If its weekly then stagger it. If it's monthly then all at once might be best. Although I get paid monthly I have small amounts that come in later on in the month hence I pay my phone bill later.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Oh yes, financial juggling, horrible stuff. Would it help to write the dates each DD comes out on the calendar so you have a scary reminder of how much is leaving? I'm *lucky* in that I have my salary monthly then opted to have my tax credits paid weekly so every Friday it feels like payday, until the next dd's come out, lol.0

Paid monthly but no set date - its a pain - lucky for me my landlord is flexible my rent is due on the 1st but sometimes I can't pay it til the 20th its very very very annoying
And I do get WTC weekly but it wouldnt cover most of my dd's
Thanks KK have DD's written in diary - cos the stipend is a 'grant' and not a 'salary' the office at the college pay it when they do thier manual payments and won't set it up automatically - its sooooooooooooooooooo annoying.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

...shows how little I know. There was me believing the local bird spotters hid in bushes watching live birds....I stand feeling better educated, they stand in groups around your freezer....
I think maybe its common practise - have you ever seen how excited twitchers get when they see a real bird.....Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
