hi fay, sounds like a good budget plan you have going there. i probably put about £150 - £200 for the annual service, but i think i also factor in some other bits and bobs as well. Probably should rethink my budget as its been 45 squid for a decade now, but fingers crossed it seems to work.0

Hi Fay spreadsheets are an eye opener, but great for focusing the mind. I am slavishly re working mine with the time i am having to spend in doors at the moment.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

fingers crossed Diavolo should be finished in April which is 16 months before it's due to end. then i can start hitting the next loan. I've never had so many savings before, and i'm still amazed that i haven't even considered touching them.0

YOU'RE AMAZING! I can't beleive that you've paid so much off so steadily and have savings!
bob SPREADSHEETS ARE SCARY - I'M GETTING THERE - SLOWLY:eek:
I think we're better off now than we've ever been, oddly - guess I am lucky cos the kids have bought into it all (the MSE bit) - but whilst OH hasn't (thank goodness he's not here at the mo) he's seeing results with our finances and taking stock, albeit grudgingly.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

LOL - you're welcome Fay, oddly enough mine has a citroen as the second car too!
Our servicing is a bit of an unknown at the moment. Mine has traditionally been high due to mileage, but since we've had OH's car the use on the Clio has dropped dramatically - last service was early June and I'm still over 2k miles away from needing the next. It'll get done this side of easter though whatever as I want it done before we go on hols. I was allowing £400 for mine which is probably about right (main dealer servicing as fairly new so want to preserve value and working on servicing every 8 - 9 months) and £150 for OH's C3 as it's only getting done once a year prior to MoT whether it likes it or not.

just to clarify most of my savings are towards the Diavolo loan. I just can't believe i've left them totally alone. I can't believe i will ever have savings just for fun, we/i'm planning on overpaying the mortgage once i'm debt free, and fingers crossed we'll be able to move into a house so the mortgage would be increasing anyway.0

Its an awesome feat LT - well done
I have to confess to trying out my McD egg+sausage Mcmuffin home made type thingmy at lunchtime - I think it worked!
Its quite sad I know and I know I shouldn't like them but I do - so have now figured a HM version of them - work out tonight how much they cost!
Got the idea from the frugal for dummies book where she talks about making your own versions of convience foods that sometimes you want.
I know walks away with head in shame
In my defence its organic home grown eggs, nice pork mince, with nothing but fresh sage added, (ok a slice of plastic cheese) and a lovely fresh muffin.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
