Hi Fay,
Welcome back.:T:T
Love
40SM;)0 -
Afternoon chaps
Sneaking on inbetween work!
Lots tidying up of xmas goodies to be done here
Many socks for xmas (mainly spotty for some reason?!?!) and some stripey - nevertheless they are fun
OH's back and heading away tomorrow
Kids back at school on Wed
Spent lots and forgot my blinking clubcard vouchers for Pizza Express so ended up standing all of my family a meal (don't ask how much - 10 people) stupidly I paid the lot (I guess in my own head the ying and yang of this is that my mother put 100 in the bank for us for a treat when away - no brainer where that money went then) could have kicked myself
Took all the food for OH's party/the week at OH's house with us and religously stuck to the food in the house aside a few meals out (he paid for htose ones) and also a splurge of cinema tickets for Sherlock Holmes
Petrol OH paid for - Ferry's I paid for (fair enough I think)
Kids scammed money for a trip into edinburgh to see their (normally in France) step sisters - whilst I supplied money for lunch (not unsubstantial) and their train fares - the stepsisters dad just gave them £2 each for the bus (chancing toe-rag!!!!) so I ended up treating both cinema and lunch!
Aside that financially not much to report - xmas pressies paid for well before xmas
Already stashing christmas crackers (half price) and will look out for bits and bobs.
Meant to stash up the stripey socks shop but to be honest the low temps and full car meant that our focus wasn't really on tinned tomatoes and stuff - need to do a thorough list and sort htat out
And of course investigate the freezer - what a saving filling up bread, milk and chicken bits, sausages, bacon etc - meant that the spends in the house to feed 8 people were minimal and we could easily (and cheekily) make other folks buy a few treaty bits without feeling too bad.
Didn't get to see chums or pals really as it was very family orientated when down but did manage to get the kids to catch up with a few of their friends.
Anyway back to the grind! Hugs to you all here's to 2010 being ace!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Update for 2010
Its that time of year when you think of the last one and figure this year will be different (somehow or other!)
So this years plans
Pay off evil gargamel (if possible) £2610 (50 a month plus extra saved to get a FF)
Pay off not so evil but very annoying penguin chops £2745 (zero saved must sort that out)
Pay off evilish loan for MSc £868 (100 month, penalty if paid quickly so it can plod along)
One more OD to go £1000 (but 0%)
Total annoying debts of around £7223 (*£21,223 with student loan)
Then aside a student loan of £14k we will be sort of debt free (?!)
Move house (again) by August for the last time here I hope
Finish all form of formal study this year (this may be completed by Jan 15th 2010 or December 2010 depending upon my meeting on the 15th Jan!
Learn to read books again for fun
Rediscover the joy of the garden
Try and think up something memorable for OH's 40th (AFTER DARWIN AS A 40th PRESSIE for me - THAT'S NOT AN EASY THING TO UPSURP)
Back to yoga or bodybalance as I am becoming a BABAPAPA shape (the pink one, or the red one, or the yellow one, or the orange one - maybe just a stripey one .......
Copy Jo and many sensible folks and save up over year for car tax etc - work out what this is first!
Do up darwin a bit more and get out in him once a week
Walk the scary monster more
Learn to cook things I am scared of cooking
Be with my kids more (OK that should go first but its definitely the most important)
ETA - possibly also have welliefest 2010 (married) so prob need save for this I guess
Extra income in 2010 dwindles by £300 in January as one lodger leaving at end of Jan (using Jan rent from deposit) and one lodger only here until May - so must keep up the over payments whilst I can.
One report to write for 2/3 days consultancy work (£300ish)
Don't seem to be getting paid for teaching (?)
About the time of year to start thinking of growing some plants for ebayingTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
