No didn't get there yesterday, will be going later today. Kids will be with me but once they are settled with a treat in front of a Christmassy film I'll be able to go to the spare room and look at it! Couldn't open any of the parcels that arrived yesterday till 11pm last night when I knew they were all safety out of the way! I had 2 go-go hamsters running around the place, nearly as difficult to catch as our rabbit!
Hope the weathers not too bad up there, my road is treacherous, like an ice rink, it's very dangerous to drive on, but luckily once you are out of this road the roads are okay. I think it's cos we live next to some woods that it's colder along this roadmust be blummin freezing where you are

its not that cold, there's snow - but the wind has gone down a fair bit so its not a wind chilled here
We're about 2 degrees at the moment - which is cold but Edinburgh is 0 degrees - we've got the 'gulf stream' which keeps us a bit warmer than the mainland (wierd I know)
I feel like I'm getting a cold - ?
Today much cooking to do and lots of cleaning/organising to do - I want to make paper chians but DD has gone awol?
Need to get some porridge for the chickens and fill up the bird feeders - the snow's not deep but its cold out thereTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

It must've warmed up a bit as it's snowed, it's -1 here at the moment.
Have no idea about planes, can you check the plane company's website
Drive careful in the snow :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
-4 here at the moment - the sun's out though and the wind has dropped so it doesn't feel as cold as last night did. We had a bit more snow last night too so might get wellied up and go out for a wander through the woods in a bit to clear the tubes.
Reckon your H's flight should be OK so long as they are able to keep the runways clear Fay - as Jo says, best to check with the airline's website as that will have the details.
Jo - to give you an idea of the temperature difference between Scottish islands and English mainland - while it's -4 here in Essex, Stornoway on the isle of Lewis in the Hebrides (further south & west to Fay's bit!) is currently enjoying a positively balmy 3 degrees!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Lucky them! That's practically bikini weather!
It says on Google -1 down here but whenever I get in the car it's more like -4. I used the car 3 times yesterday, morning, afternoon and evening and to scrape it each time before I could use it :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
i'm not even bothering to leave the house at the moment. though i do have to go and find a blanket and cover the animals with it, as they're inside the greenhouse it won't get wet but it will help insulate them a bit more.0
