hi Fay, flying visit at moment, will be back online later tonight after bingo with my mum.
I've got some accounts i have named but they're practical names, i'm soooooo boring and predictable. Think i will change them.
you'll have to let me know your blog address so i can keep up with you.
    keep smiling.

Er, don't want to be the bringer of bad news, but I think Evil Edna is still in the process of being paid off... But she's getting a good boshing and will be gone soon! Bravo! :)

(not sure I'm going to make it to bed in the scary attic Pip's mum, think I'm going to be curled up on the sofa with Harry Potter instead :) )

Fay! How did it go?? Hope they were jolly nice to you :) What's the outcome??

Sophie's mum - that blog is so cheery and colourful! :):) Fay, are you sharing your blog with the world?? I think I unintentionally gave the impression I was really secretive about mine - I'm just a bit shy really, but I think we'd all like a nosey at yours! :)

I've been out and done some work in the cafe, and now back at home, stocked up with lovely healthy and tasty food, and will hopefully be doing a big load of batch cooking for the freezer later while I finish re-re-re-re-re-writing chapter two, and then three <yawn>

I've named computers for years - and of course cars always get named too. Last few have been "colour related" - this one is Monaco Blue and so is called Grace Kelly, the previous one was Mercury Grey = Freddie of course! In the past though I've had Jemima Puddleduck (My first car - an elderly Fiat 127 so named because it poured down the night I brought her home and she didn't leak - at ALL! Sadly that was the one and only time this was the case - I used to carry a plastic pot on the passenger seat to bail out with in wet weather, and if you braked hard all the water in the back came sploshing forwards over your feet! :rotfl: Then we had Roger (the Renault) Molly (Reg no ended GBH - Grievous Bodily Harm = Gangster = Gangsters Moll > Molly. Blame Mum for that one :D) Polly (no good reason, she just seemed like a polly) and Winnie the Pooh (reg no started with EY 0 so was a bit like Eyore - hence the name!). MrEH's is caled Ella.....Citroen-ella *waits for massed groans* - my best mate is to blame for that!

You're doing so well with Edna Fay - that's a heck of a crash diet she's on! Well done on the saving on the trip south too - annoying not to be able to do your mega-stock up shop but you'd not have saved anything like that amount so.....Shame about peedie pup and Heather not being able to go along though. :( We've slept on the seats on Calmac ferries on many occasions and always found it nice and comfy too. Remember to take fleece blankets and something like a fleecy jacket to wrap around a bag to make a comfy pillow.

    Hello
Sorry visitors for tea - well visitors who ordered takeaway!

    Anyways

Pipsmum - half way through evil edna - a bit amazing how much PAD's add up. Been reading the halloween jokes - my love you do love it so much don't you?

Supervisors meeting - imagine a scene where a peacock (Direct Orkney supervisor - who is NO MORE my direct boss) meets a really huge kick azz bird of prey (with a cold who was taking no prisoners - Aberdeen scary chap really been around since before Dinosaurs). And, lovely head of department who popped his head in before and after the meeting to make sure I was OK, did I need anything, how did it go for me - make sure you get some rest - awesome Supervisor - 'lovely but ineffectual'.

I have 3 months to write up to proper standard with all the IT support etc i place then get examined (again) to see if I can write up to Phd standard.

Deadline is before xmas (18th) for writing and then after in Jan for the exam. Am happy enough, am a bit daunted by the writing/reading but being positive.

    (I hope)

EH - yeah sleeping bags and one pillow each and one day sack each for 36 hrs clothes etc march to train in the AM - its not far, so a day sack each, sleeping bag and pillow each (maybe in another rucksack) Brother looking after Mutts :)

Also OH is thinking of taking a week up here directly after the week I am down - and we 'might' take his van up north - sainsbugs are doing a £10 off for first internet shop, Asda have a deal for delivery +cashback

so I might order the things I need via internet - get them delivered to OH - persuade him that boxes into the 'freight' bit save enough to make it worth the bother :) and blag way onto boat with a six month shop and no car.............:)

Decorating his house for a whole day after kids go to dads (keep self busy) so he will hopefully feel a bit benevolent

Or will go home, order stuff - store it at his (get the sainsbug and variious quidco benefits)

And pick it up at NY - nowt will go off cos its all store cupboard things :)

My bones need to shop :)

Gonna do a mega cook when kids are away - 3 months worth of teas (we have the space) I know its a bit boring but I want to concentrate on parenting, writing and making sure if I can be a doc of flowers then I do it

Whilst eating wholesome food - just working out the 3 month list of 'everything' we'd need

I figured I have the veggies grown (just need store them)
I can freeze teas, milk and bread cheese etc
Not sure about fruit (a local shop does deliver fruit/veg - I may check it out)

If I can sort all of that and free up the 'normal' family food prep stuff (Ie imagine we are an island or on a boat) by having everything HERE for 3 months

Can I (mrs 41 1/2 2 kids no hubby - who do you think you are) stripey socks pull off a PhD of flowers?

I know I can plan the food etc

Am just worried I can't change my 'food shopping' habits....................................78 days til hand in.....:)

If i can 'manage' the family my lunatical style of parenting and making sure everyone's OK - then perhaps I can 'manage' the writing ?
