good luck KT, what are you trying to get done?

Fay, how are you? Any updates?

Due to snow stress and lack of decent footwear - updates today cancelled until finalising intro for supervisor who can't find me cos I am stuck at home in snow.

Don't let it fool you with all its white lovely fluffiness - snow is EVIL.

    Kids evil

Sorry Fay, I saw the bit about the snowman and couldn't stop laughing. At least you took your frustration out on an inanimate object. :o

    Why has OH cancelled?

Tell lodgers to respect the fact you have to work and need a bit of peace and quiet.

    Hi Fay

I've been reading your diary...mostly at work (oops!) and really enjoyed it. I live in South London so possibly as different a lifestyle from yours as can be imagined......although we did get proper snow last week so can relate to that.

I love reading about what you are getting up - much fun!

I used to work for an art gallery and they had a special event where members of Torture Garden had a special evening event once. I was on the desk selling tickets and you have never seen such an inventive and crazy bunch of people...who knew so many people liked wearing latex!! At one point I was having a conversation with a man wearing a very lifelike wolf's head and somehow managed to pretend nothing was strange (now I'm wondering how he got the head, did he keep the rest of the wolf in the freezer????)

I sadly, don't have anything unusual in my freezer, my worst is normally a bottle of wine that I have put in freezer to chill, then forgotten about and then it breaks and I end up frozen wine over everything!

Anyway well done on getting so far with your debts and good news on snowball calculator - 9mths is great reduction on original date!!!

And good luck for dealing with evil supervisor!

Ps I like stripes of all kind - my favourite is a multi-coloured stripy jumper which is very cosy and looks great with stripy socks!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

And they shall be called Mini me? :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry i couldn't resist went into Dr.Evil mode there.:D
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
  • Todays meagre update
Introduction to thesis (which I will complete in November 2010 and will have to rewrite and is a complete waste of time) 4657 words. (currently on draft 9)

I don't have an issue with words per say - I can type at the same speed I can think. However, the making them make sense to anyone else, I find, is entirely another issue.

The task continues, been at my desk since 6am (ok 6.15) in a vague attempt to finish this today - having eaten tea I am now back on the case. Problem is apart from cronic stripey fiction/non-fiction I am crap at writing!!!!

No financial great acheivements today except a NSD and putting my saved up wine in feb money (usually spent on flowers) straight into evil hairy loan. Thinking lodger will pay up soon, but thus far no sign of any cash

Boat not booked to go away at the moment as the weather from the deep 'sooth' has finally caught up with us lot up north who didnt really have much snow until now. Guess if we don't go it saves another £200 but need the break and the 'life perspective' as getting a bit overwhelmed with work here.

Prob with the ability to be working from home is that you don't really stop except for normal chores - cos I don't know many folks here I tend to work most evenings etc as I am ALWAYS behind.

If I were my boss I would sack me, my life interferes too much with my PhD. .....................:rotfl:
