Oooh, and late on in the evening I swapped fabulous shoes for fabulous stripey socks, and two other people said "I love your socks! I love stripey socks - I'm wearing them too!" and one was a bloke :) Hooray for stripeyness!

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D - excellent sock action most chuffed :D:D:D:D:D

Stripes has just rocked in from the field and hte garden - 16 degrees here today - finally got my field work finished - well for this moment anyway and all the data is in the computer. HUZZAH.

Mowed a billion lawns and have also found two paths I didnt know existed - so I need to acquaint myself with a strimmer :)

Need to think work now, a bit sun dazed today its been gorgeous :)

Catch up with you all in a bit

Waves to LT, CD and Olive - dunno what a 'crop' is either except my own kind

*waves* Hellooooooo Fay! Not been around for a few days - fingers crossed that they will decide they can arrange your proofing for you, it's hardly a lot to ask, after all! If the Dyslexic-friendly strategies they've already given you have been helping then it seems more likely that you are, than not, if that makes sense. I have dyscalculia which is the numerical version - I "see" numbers backwards sometimes and have to concentrate when I'm writing telephone numbers down otherwise I tend to transpose numbers....on the other hand the flip side is that I have a quirkily good memory for telephone codes - they stick in my mind for some reason.

ROFL @ Daff's paper shoes - what an excellent idea!

Current Stripe status - stripey trainer-socks - the even more frugal cousins of the stripey ankle sock, presumably. Different shades of blue, grey & white. The ones I wore yesterday were better as they had silver stripes through them as well. :T

hi nobody is being silly, a crop is a day of scrapbooking. It's in a local village hall and there were almost 40 of us there and we had a fab time.

Phew ta LT - thats fine then was beginning to think I was not understanding real life as well as PHD life :)
EH - excellent sock status - v frugal and OS the trainer socks - silver stripes very nice sounding

Am fine but a bit frantic - June is D Day month - 26th I have my final we keep you or chuck you meeting ( can't decide at the moment which way to go myself to be honest)

15 is the hand it all in deadline, despite the fact I may or may not be dyslexic I have to have it all done by then, no extra support in or anything at the mo - hey ho.

and I have to write a huge report as well - go me :)

Hugs to you all - must post some money updates - will think about that :) Waves to you all

Bit of a panic here :o
The postman pops packages into the newspaper recycling box - but usually leaves a note. I had convinced myself that I had sent the parcel to be recycled
That was after I had more or less accused poor lodger of returning a parcel as "addressee unknown" if she saw OliveOyl on the label :o
I'm so glad it's sorted, and so glad to be joinging the club (grey thin ones today :o)

June a new month and a new challenge, I hope your decision making isn't too painful. I find a list of pros and cons helps me.

    Ta you guys

I love what I do - can't stand the politics - but ironically I think academia needs a few more 'normals' in it eh CD??

You know the kind that talk 'human' as well. Will give it a shot this month and see how I go - TBH - I'd be happy if I stay and not sure how unhappy I would be if I go - life does things for a reason :)

Olive - sorry - apologise to your lodger for my complete incompetence :)

    Hi Fay

I am a bit worried about the effect these stripey socks are having on me as all I could think of last night was :
"How much willow will a willow chopper chop if a willow chopper will chop willow":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700
