That is a phrase which I would give many hours sleep to have the opportunity to use.
Fay - you little tinker, you didn't let on that there was cause for celebration! Enjoy your lobster (I think the idea of a lobster in place of cake is one I might have to try at some stage!) and have a lovely rest of your day! xx🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

OEERRRR I am a day late now. Many happy returns Fay, long live the stripey socks:j:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I absolutely LOVE the socks! They really made me smile. Purple is my favourite colour as well. I have a lot fo stripy socks, sadly getting holes now. So I will have to go and try and find the ebay seller who sells packs of them. On the other hand I have found some nice NZ made socks here. One pair has pink elephants on. And they are guaranteed to lift my spirits (reminds me of all the drunk jokes about pink elephants).Just a quickie mega mega needing to get on today - normal service has resumed.
Motivational socks for today
No holds barred today - walking to work in my very mega flowery doc martens - and my socks will kick my booty into doing the final push I need to finish a chapter - or else my botty is toast.
Waves to you all and thanks for the lovely kind words - runs to work - must get on.........
Chev you and I must have a garden talk soon!!
Ref the gardening. Last year we hadn't settled anywhere to do anything really gardeny. This year i grew tomatoes in pots. Lesson learned? Firstly tomatoes here don't really like being in pots that would be the normal size in UK. They need to be bigger/deeper, just so they can hold enough water. Secondly the growing season goes on and on and on. I gave up on mine over a month ago,(ie about end of September in uk), and yet a wild tomato plant in the garden is still flowering and fruiting. So I lost 6 weeks at least of production. They also don't seem to do much pricking out of side shoots here either.
Still potatoes might be fun, if I can get big enough pots or tyres.....
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
