My heart knows me better than I know myself so I'm going to let it do all the talking.0 -
:rotfl: ..........and I thought my parents were the only ones to have strange things in their freezer! (Yes animal variety which died in suspicious circumstances, my father would quite happily do nasty things to people who poison animals of any sort).
I remember coming home from school as a child and thinking something smelled really good in the kitchen. Went through and decided to lift the lid of the big pot on the stove................only to be stared up at by eyes of a sheeps head!!!!!!!
It took me years to trust a pot with a lid on it again!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. OK - not sure I actually want to confess this but - here goes:
[disclaimer - all the dead things currently and in the past that have been in my freezer ALL died of natural causes]
Non edible things in the freezer are currently:
Two tubs of lush frozen gel stuff
Bloodworms for the fish
Said Guinea pig's chum who died later and we have decided to bury in a nice pot here
A Puffin that someone gave us for a friend who is a naturalist artist - for her to draw - its beautiful not a mark on it - only issue is that it is dead
A jack snipe that I was given at work today to ID - its there until I can get it verified by a bird expert.
IN the past we have had:
Eagles - being invesigated incase it was killed illegally
Lamb milk
Cow special calf milk
Eagles poo - lots of it for a pal who was researching sea eagles on Mull
Puffins - see one below
Corncrakes - for ex ex ex's work
Gold crest - being kept until the kids came home from dads to show them it
Mostly for research things - don't most folk have various birds of prey
Isnt it the same in most households???We keep food in there too. Just not on the same shelf.
This is hilarious. it reminds me of my teens when i used to work in a pet shop. We had a big chest freezer outside for frozen tripe etc. One day opened it up and found two baby bunnies in plastic bags......manager was saving them to get a refund from the breeder as they had died the day after they arrived!

Did you make it to the village with the sort of rude name? Lots of folks get there photo taken there at the sign...........
:rotfl:I went to Orkney last year but resisted the temptation - isn't there a village on the Shetlands with same name?
Personally I don't find stripey socks work for me. However I can highly recommend Power Puff Girl socks. Especially if in posh restaurant. Especially if little girl bored & running around & talking to strangers. Especially if mother embarrassed. Especially if you can proudly undo zip on boots & show aforementioned girl that you too, with your posh meal & bottle of wine (em, make that second bottle
), are also wearing Power Puff Girl socks
.
I liked Orkneys. I went on a ferry to another island from Kirkwall but didn't see puffins - now I know they were probably in your freezer. Weird place though - what's with the daylight till 11 then light from 2 thingy
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Great - and they don't need to be stripey socks any fun socks will do - power puff girl socks rock as well!!!!! Well done you!!!!
The daylight thing - yeah its a bit odd - but you do get use to it.
Afraid I only have one puffin - they can be very hard to see they are only around for about 6 weeks in the summer I think.
They are great fun to see though - its always exciting to see them.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Okay I have to confess to occasionlly having dead things in my freezer:p
My brother keeps Harris Hawks so if I happen to come across fresh roadkill I stick it in a plastic bag and freeze it for him, until he picks it up and uses to feed his birds. My chest freezer has been last resting place to pheasants, rabbits, hares, and a fox. If my freezer is too full I dop it off at mums:p0
