Can't you go out with Bunny & Sammy, Snaggles ?
They're 3 hours away unfortunately and I work till 3pm, so if there's any bad weather and delays on the roads, I could end up not getting there till late.

Not to mention they are going out in the very place my ex lives, and he will most likely be out on Saturday night too, so I would be nervous of bumping into him all the time. :o

Oh sorry Snaggles - just a suggestion, I didn't realise how far apart you were, remembered reading when you had " a mini mummy meet" & assumed you were all near to each other, (ex. as in the Facebook featurer ?)

Total random point - doesn't that fox in the foxy bingo add, get on your nerves, he's jiggy around in an advertising banner above my e-mail account

IA - That's good - is it an audition for you to be in a band or an audition for the whole of the band you're already in ?

Sorry if that's a bit nosey - I know from your posts (& your "location") that you play guitar (s)

Oh crap I hope I didn't sound ungrateful for the suggestion......sorry! :o It was a good suggestion and I don't really mind the driving, but i would just have to get time off work and we are so busy at the moment there's just no holiday available.

    And yes, him. :D

We are alledgedly still friends....but it's an awkward friendship at the moment, he's still messing with my head a bit, I'm still trying to get over him (and doing rather well as it happens :D), one minute he's all over me, next he's distant and weird, then suddenly today he's jealous of me flirting with someone else (which I only told him about because he asked me outright). Bloody men. So I really don't want to bump into him just yet.

Thanks Tenmah, I'm sure you're right actually - I don't mind being on my own at all. I'm just trying not to get into a rut of staying in on my own looking at the four walls.

I tend not to really see anyone except for the kids, my ex, and colleagues at work but it's so busy that I don't get chance to chat to them.

How do you go about getting a social life?? It's really difficult! :rotfl:

Ah now THAT is the difficult part! I am like you - all my friends are married or living with someone and I don't like to intrude on their weekends with their partners/children etc.

To be honest with you I don't have a social life, I am too old now for nightclubbing etc and really don't know where to go to meet people (men basically!)

I do have a bf but he is married so I have no idea where that is going. So I am not the best person to advise on going out - sorry!

Oh no, we've gone all "sorry" :rotfl:

The word "sorry" always makes me think of Ronnie Corbett in the programme of the same name where he played Timothy Lumsden (showing my age now  )

Yes, I've got one of those, someone I used see quite regularly but we're now "friends" but he gets all "huffy" when I mention people I talk to (real or virtual) that he doesn't know - tough :p

    Hi Inky

    Cold!!

Waiting for the snow to fall so I can use my new shoe snow grips!

Waiting to go to SW even though I know I haven't lost - but can then eat chocolate tonight as it doesn't count on a Thursday.......

You've had snow then - there's been nothing here feel really deprived :rotfl:

Supposed to be going to Brentwood on Sunday, really don't want to go, so hopefully it'll be too cold / icy / snowy.

Hope it all goes ok at SW - you never know you might be surprised :D
