But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- storecupboard lunch and tea-
- laundry hokey cokey for OH
- ironing for me
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
- clean one room tonight so not much to do next weekend
- try and find time for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- aim for no spend day
- sparkle - halloween feet today black and orange stripes:D
, After no snow we are now snowing again and quite heavily this morning,
which is okay for me as I don't have to leave the building for work, but not so good for DD who has two ponies to get to and then on to college:eek: ..... looks like mum's taxi may be called into use.Hugs for anyone feeling down or poorly
, hope you are soon feeling better. Hi to all the regular posters and welcome to any newbies
.Welcome back to Klane :j
Okay that's the smiley fix done - catch up with you all later:D

So today I have/will:- made my packed lunch
- done my scratch'n'click
- did my on-line banking (last night actually) and  to A&L, but fortunately I can bin them

- It's Thursday so I shall clean my house (this is the advantage of the family living away form home, it takes an evening, not a week to clean the house
) using OS remedies - go to the gym to use my membership
- leftovers for supper

Thanks SM
And have a great day everybody :A0 -

Morning All
Well got to work about ten past 8 this morning in the hopes of doing more DFW stuff before work but it is taking my computer 10-15 mins to start up in the mornings so not done as much as I would have liked.
My list for today though is:
Have bought in lunch
Will fill up car tonight slowly as apparantyly by doing this you can get more in it? Something to do with air? and I will keep driving more economically
Will check online banking
Free scratch - 10p
Free bingo
Surveys
Find some shower gel/soap at home to open as have run out of my current bottle, rather than buy a new one
Look for mystery shops - Just picked up one for tomorrow. Is only £4 and a £3 reimbursment, so i'm wondering if I am actually going to get any money out of it, but it's my first one for this company so hopefully I will get better ones when I am off probabtion! plus it will be a free lunch except for the mile or 2 petrol and parking if I can't claim for that. Does anyone know how I claim expenses or should I ask on the MS thread?
Call the uni where I did my HND to get info for OU
Do some washing and dry on radiators/bannister
Monthly loan payment of £225.98 taken from account today
Went to buy some Rolo's from Vendor at work but they didn't fall out, so someone shook it and I got the Rolo's PLUS a packet of Wine Gums (which I don't like but I ate some anyway), other people at work have had some and I will give the rest to my Dad as he likes them, plus I got all my money back PLUS 5p, so I made 5p from 2 packets of sweets! :rotfl:
Hope you all have a good day0 -

- Get housework done seeing as I'm off work, save doing it at weekend
- NSD hopefully
- Washing on 30 and on airers/radiators

- Try keep heating off/low for as long as possible
I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Good Morning all.
I am debt free ( sorry but I like to tell myself that EVERY morning) but what you folks do on here inspire me to change my habits.
Today is 4th NSD of the month.
Made up my packed lunch so no need to spend at lunchtime.
Brought the car to work but my mileage for going out to client interviews will cover the cost.
Still have home made soup left for tonight.
Checked bank balance ( no problems there)
Checked on line savings accounts ( I have made £125 in bonuses from ING in first of all opening an account then having family members open accounts. We all just put £1 in to get the bonuses then will close after all the bonuses have been paid. Not bad for £1.) They approached me out of the blue, I did not make the first move.
Found 3 pound coins in the car park yesterday after the snow had melted. Somebody had obviously dropped them in six inches of snow. I'm going to give the £3 to charity.
Have a great day.0 -
Hi everyone
Today I'm going to the osteopath to try fix my back, then straight home, NSD otherwise for me today. Seeing the osteopath twice a week is enough to bankrupt anyone but needs must and she's good at fixing my back, just playing up big time at the moment.
I've a friend coming to stay for the weekend to cheer me up, which is nice, so am hoping that it's not going to be a spend, spend, spend weekend, will try hard not to, but have to go to dinner on Saturday evening so will spend some money on Saturday but it'll be so nice to see her.
Have a good day everyone and keep it low. By the way haven't got my socks on yet, but when I do they will be baby blue.
Cheers
Casper
