I've bought from here before and had good service. The shielded fly-leads are also very helpful for Freeview > TV connections

Just because a scart has 'gold plated connectors', doesnt necessarily mean its any good.

It's no indication of quality whatsoever. Most people's equipment doesn't have gold plated inputs, so it's not going to make a lot of difference.

For the record ~ a top class scart should have
    VERY good shielding
Very well crimped or silver soldered wires to connectors
Gold, silver or rhodium plated connectors
Top grade copper/silver wires (yes, not all copper is the same ;))

The VERY best tend to have the sound wires disconnected to allow a seperate run through an av amp

I wasn't referring necessarily to the gold part....the scarts have individually shielded wires. If you'd gone to the site link you would have seen that ;).

I seriously doubt that sticking some tubing over would 'shield' anything. TRUE shielding usually involves copper over the top, sometimes silver foil, sometimes both (Or more)
Sticking some plastic over the top isnt going to do anything

But fair play, its certainly a cheapie cable so I aint complaining about the price.
