Ok the company i purchased the sunglasses from are saying that because its more than 30days since recieving the goods that i have to go through oakley and thats its no longer their issue.
    Surly this isnt right?
Also theyve asked that when contacting oakley that i dont mention they were purchased from ebay.
This really doesnt sound right to me, surly my contract is with the company and not oakley.

Perhaps you could ask them which piece of legislation mentions the 30 days?
Your contract is with the retailer.
I think I would enquire with the manufaturer why they would be asking you not to mention Ebay?

They are definitely genuine but obviously the bill from paypal shows it was through ebay, so id have to try an send them to oakley for warranty repair without a reciept.
Seems to me they probably knew there was a problem with them to start with now.
Iv emailed them back mentioning sale of goods act 1974(not sure if its the right one) mentioned speaking with trading standards and that my contract is with them and not oakley will just see what happens now.
Starting to get to me a bit now, i have enough problems without adding to them, an im worried i will get fobbed off and end up losing quite a bit of money, so any advice on how to tackle this will be VERY MUCH appreciated.

they meant you should ask the ebay seller, not oakley ;)

i don't know why you'd buy something like oakleys from ebay though

It says ask the manufacturer. The only reason i bought them from ebay was because they actually have a website and ebay shop, they were £40 cheaper through the ebay shop than their website.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing though i guess, and i certainly wont be getting bitten twice.

Could you give false details so you can ask the question without identifying yourself?

Really need some advice now please, theyve emailed me with this response

"send them back to us under the contract of sale. As these are past the 30 days return period and no fault was reported and there has clearly been some benefit to you in wearing the sunglasses for this period we can only offer a partial refund. This would be for a pair of Juliet's something like £100 or over but we would have to check this and confirm the actual refund depending on the nature of the sunglasses when they are returned. If they are in excellent condition apart from the fault this will obviously show they have not been used much and so a larger refund would be forthcoming as a result."

Im looking for some advice on what to say next as there is no way i want to lose money on these glasses, however they are not willing to accept them back for repair or replacement.
Your help would be very much appreciated.

Why not take them into trading Standards office first and show them to them?
I am not sure how trustworthy this company is,as they seem to have something to hide.
