problem with oakley sunglasses

I purchased a pair of oakley sunglasses from what appears to be a reputable power seller on ebay back in december, recently though iv noticed the lenses appear a little loose.
I took the glasses to a local authorised oakley dealer rather than messing about with postage etc, for them to have a look. They say it looks like the frame is fractured and they are refusing to even touch them, does anyone know where i stand with this.
Iv emailed the seller but had no response, the frames and lenses are otherwise in perfect condition which shows iv been careful with them.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

have you contacted oakley?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

Not yet as they were bought off ebay and an authorised dealer refused to touch them i thought i should contact the seller first.0

I was just suggesting it as the seller isn't responding?
Is it too late to raise a chargeback on your card, or contact paypal?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
I believe so, they were purchased begining of december and sorry i dont know how charge back works.
After looking on the oakley website it appears the warranty is only valid if bought from an authorised oakley dealer, im unsure wether the company i purchased mine from are, so need to do some digging.0 -
if you paid by paypal, log into your account and have a look, it will be on there as disputes I think.
whether they are fit for purpose or not is irrelevant to where you bought them from I would suggest.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
I will check on paypal, and thanks i will send an email to oakley to find out where i stand.0

Saying you have only just noticed they are loose suggests they were not loose when you bought them.Could you have damaged them yourselves.0

Holding the glasses in your hands the lens feels a little lose, when you put them on the lens feels tight, I thought this was because of the flex coupler device that these oakleys use, basically they are not rigid an flex at the sides and on the nose for a snug fit, however after trying a friends pair they are tight all the time.
Doubt its something iv done as there is damage on the frame or the lenses themselves.0 -
get them authenticated, if they are fake, oakley will get them chucked off ebay, and take legal action.
btw powerseller doesnt equal trust.0 -
Well im currently waiting on a response from oakley so if they accept them under warranty i will soon find out if they are fake.0
