I noticed that two of the stores I went into, had more food in the side aisles instead of just at the front where the usual display is. So do ask or check, if it seems like they are low or missing items.

Although it was not advertised in my local store I too managed to substitute the rose for a box of mint chocs.I just went over and asked an assistant and she just told me which ones I could have.Thank you whoever posted this tip.The roses in my store all looked a bit battered as they had been over handled.

I was in M&S today and it was absolutely packed with people looking for this offer! There wasn't a huge amount left but in the end I went with the antipasto, salmon, new potatos, fruit tarts, Malbec reserve red (for another day - we already have champagne for tonight) and very nice looking pink rose. Not bad! Wish I'd gone earlier though, fancied some of the chocolate desserts but none left.

We had ours last night and it was really good - scallops, chicken in parma ham, cheese selection, Chablis and rose was quite nice too. if you're waiting for tonight then you're in for a treat. Quality of food was much better than Tesco finest dishes I thought. The M&S New Year's party food deal was a bit disappointing so delighted to see them back on form.

does anyone have a picture they can post up of the substitute choccies? Went to the big store in Manchester near St Ann's Square, where the SA said they weren't doing chocolates , she looked a bit miserable so I thought I would try and hunt them down myself....any pics or barcode would be a treat!;)

I went to two stores today, Prestwich & Stockport - neither had enough to buy the complete deal! Prestwich didn't have any main meals & Stockport only had one choice of starter & hardly any mains or deserts. We gave up & went to Tesco Extra in Stockport, got one of their "Finest" meals for £9 instead - Steak Au Poivre, Dauphinoise Pototaoes & Raspberry Panacotta with a bottle of Finest Rose - saved about £6 & it looks nice enough!! Already have chocs, roses & Cava from Hubby for Valentines Day, so thats our evening sorted!

I'm very disappointed with M&S recently - their party food at Xmas was poor quality, the choices from the previous Dine In from two weeks ago weren't as good as the pre-Xmas deals (made a special trip to M&S & came home empty handed!) & now today, left empty-handed again. Before Xmas, I bought the deal EVERY fortnight, often buying two deals at a time. I don't really like Tescos but wasn't cooking on Valentines Day!!:rotfl:

We had our gorgeous scallops, steak, chips, vegetables, chocolate mousse pudding and pink cava last night and the quality of the food was amazing!! I managed to save£13.34-I had a 10% discount coupon as well!! Very impressed. Friends had recommended their £10 weekend deals in the past and now definately want to give them a go.

We had the scallops, steak and chips, cheesecake, cava.
Absolutely delicious! I was so impressed. Been a while since I was impressed with marks, but the food was amazing, we had a fab dinner last night. The cava was lovely too and my rose was not wilted. Added it to the flowers hubby bought me anyway.

The meal was absolutely gorgeous, also got the mint chocs and cheese selection. Im giving these to my dad and step mum (with a cracker selection I got for 99p)as a little treat. Thankyou for all the hints on how to make the most of this offer. I will definately be buying the £10 deal, hope I can get some bargains there too lol
