Insurance after 2 accidents

I need some advice to see if anyone can recomend a cheap insurance company for my son.He passed his test 7 months ago and has been fully comp as a named driver on his dads insurance .
After passing his test last year he hit a kerb in a bad rain storm which caused him to skid and even though the car looked like it had no damage it was wrote of because it had damage underneath.
Anyway this took this years renewal up by about £1500 £2110 in total which I think was quite good with Quinns. Our problem is last night he had a head on collision which was caused by the snow storm as he came round a bend doing about 15 mph he had to move out due to a camper van parked on the corner and he hit an oncoming car.I think his car is another write off just waiting for insurance to see to it but I am worried that he will not get insured anywhere now what do you think is there any insurance companies that will insure him he is working fulltime and turns 18 next week he could probabally afford upto £3000 a year but no more or will he have to end his driving until 5 years has passed any suggestions please.

Do some virtual quotes on the net to see what the premiums look like. Also see what a broker can come up with for comparisons.

It was my sons and his dads car but his dad only used it at for shopping Saturday mornings.

In that case the insurance is invalid anyway as the main driver should be the one who mainly drives the car.

Personally I think if he has written off two cars in seven months then it might be worth spending some money on PassPlus or similar driving lessons before forking out for more insurance. Apart from anything else, with two accidents by someone who isn't meant to be driving the car most of the time, at some stage alarm bells will start ringing at the insurance company. If that happens after he writes someone elses car off then you'll have a much bigger bill than £3k.

    This is just scaremongering.

Having a named driver as the main driver doesn't make the insurance invalid!

After four years of credit card debts, six months ago I'm finally fully in the green... Saving £400 per month (when I say saving, I mean going towards holidays and tattoo's) and self employed with a company doing well!

That link takes you to a story about fronting.

Fronting is different to having a named driver as the main driver.

    What's the difference?

young person is named driver on parents insurance, but drives the car as main person... Am I missing the completely obvious?

Anyone can add a named driver to be the main driver of a car. That isn't fronting.

Fronting is not declaring the named driver to be the main driver.
