personally i have found talk talk to be a nightmare .... they are ok whilst everything is working .... a NIGHTMARE at peek times .... after6pm ... the speed of your connection goes down by well over half .... its harder to get a good connection at the weekend too .... and as for talk talks .... call centre ... well i hope you never get anything wrong with your servicie .... it took me 4 days and 6.75 hours of being on the phone for them to decide that it wasnt my "equipment " and that there was a fault ith the service !!!!! GOOD LUCK M8

    HI eeeeeee,

I've sent you a PM about the service you have received from TalkTalk. Sorry if your problems where not dealt with properly by customer services. This thread is about the transfer process though so there could be better areas of the forum to post your experiences in.

    Cheers

Thought people might be interested in how things went with my change over to TT.The actual cbangeover went very smoothly, no problems, no downtime etc. I did have a problem with setting up my email account inOutlook Express, I had to set it up manually as the setup disc said it couldnt do it. After set up I could send TT emails but not receive TT emails. I also had a problem with the wireless connection to my laptop.it had been working perfectly with Madasafish. That was the start of my troubles !!!!!!!.
I then spent the next 6+ hours on the phone to their helpline trying to get the problem sorted. I spoke to about 6 different people each one had me altering and changing and taking ticks off and putting ticks on, turning things off and turning things on, putting wires in taking wires out etc etc etc, they did sort out the email problem, (hooray) but by 3.30pm in the afternoon, the last representative said he couldnt do anymore and that it was MY wireless LAN card in the laptop that was at fault. I did explain that it had been working perfectly the day before. He said that was yesterday this was today and it had obviusly developed a fault. So no help there. I was extremely lucky in that my daughters partner is a ''computer nerd' and I took it round to him and he had it sorted in literally 5minutes. He said that whoever I had been talking to didnt know what the heck they were doing and each one had compounded the others mistakes and had just made it worse. But I am glad to say that everything works fine now, desktop and laptop, with no real thanks to anyone at TT. They all seemed to be reading from their script and couldnt deviate from it
The other thing that is quite worrying is for each phone call that I made I had to give security details one of which was which bank was \I using for my DD payments, each time I gave the same name of a certain bank which they accepted. Afterwards on reflection I realised that each time I had given the wrong bank name as the DD came out of my other bank that I use. So much for security screening !!!!!!!!!!
