Majorly PI**ED OFF with O2
I have a complaint about O2, about a month ago I rang them to say that my handset was playing up, could I get it looked at under the warranty. They said to send it off which I did and eventually it came about that they would replace the handset.
I have now been waiting a month for the handset and they are refusing to send one out. If I call and complain, I either get "they are all out of stock" or "they are in stock, we'll send one out tomorrow" followed by an e-mail the next day saying "sorry, your order is out of stock".
I have complained about 10 times on the phone to CS and still nothing has been done, I have asked to speak to management but they always refuse to let me!
I have written off to their complaints review service and have been ignored after 3 letters.
I have now written to Otelo who are saying that they can not deal with the matter unless O2 ignore me / refuse to correct the complaint within 3 months?!?! What good is 3 months wait for me without a phone and i'm paying line rental all the time for the pleasure!!!!!
Anyone got any suggestions of what I can do, names and addresses of directors or anyone who might give a !!!!!! at O2?
Cheers

I am in this situation too. I had a bad month, cocked up, and my DD to them bounced. They didn't inform me of this at all, I just went to use the phone one day and it was cut off. I contacted them by landline and paid the debt immediately. I asked why I wasn't informed, and basically they agreed that it was to cut costs, they figure that if they cut the phone off, people will call them first!
The following month, again I went to use the phone and found it blocked. They said the DD had not gone through again. I checked with my internet banking service and it was O2 who cancelled the DD!!! So they cancelled the DD without telling me, then cut me off again when I didn't pay!! I have had to make manual payments every months since (about seven months now). I have tried to complain via email but these have been met with automated responses "You must email us your mobile number, order number, address and DOB etc etc before we will respond" and so I have not even been able to complain. Also, what kind of stupid company asks for personal data like address and DOB and mobile number in an email !!!!!!? It's not secure enough for information like that to be sent.
I emailed to cancel my contract and was told to call a number and speak to the cancellations dept. I did this and they said I had to write to a PO Box address in Houghton Regis. I did that too (with an additional signature of my wife, who is cancelling her O2 phone too as a result) only to get a text from O2 telling me in order to cancel, I must write to the PO box address in Houghton Regis (which I already had!!). If they hadn't received the letter, how did they know I wanted to cancel!
I used my O2 email account to complain about this, and was told that if I wanted to cancel, I would have to reply to the email with another load of personal information that they already have!!!
Are they deliberately stringing this out so that I can't cancel but must pay to keep my phone going?
I am about to write to the CEO of O2 UK who is Matthew Key and the Chairman, Sir David Arculus. The address I am using is
O2 plc
Wellington Street
Slough
Berkshire
SL1 1YP
Hope this helps. I'll keep you posted if I get a response.
Cheers,
