  • Have a wonderful time Sharon. Getting away from home is good even if you dion't go far.
hassie Weeding  Scary!. I hope DH is OK now and that your nervy stomach settles down.

I'm going to do a combination of things today - I will walk onthe beach, come back and have a pamper session, but my birthday pressie to myself is to allowed to be upset or lose my temper!! :D I normally don't let myself, but have just heard that move may be off completely or delayed for at least 2 months. Sodding Landlady - and Letting Agent isn't returning my calls. Ho hum.

    Have a lovely day all.
p.s. tiger, yes, name is from Pink Floyd song. You're showing your age! :D

Hi Tiger, welcome to the thread. Glad you've found us.

OK Folks, it's my Birthday today and I've nothing planned, am not seeing anyone; what can I do to cheer meself up considering it's raining? If the weather brightens at all, I may take myself off to Perranporth for a walk bu it's not looking promising atm.
    Hugs to all.

Happy birthday CWTA :bdaycake:check your inbox ;) but make sure the sound is turned up.

Sharon - I hope the weather keeps fine for you :T.

Welcome Tiger and any other newbies.

PCL - glad your hubby is much better.

The Eric Clapton concert was brilliant and such a surprise :j. I had a great night despite a throbbing headache, IBS and a bloomin' period - just when I thought it was safe to come out of the menopausal closet . I am too, too old for this malarkey :rolleyes2. Got home about 1.55 a.m. - two hours from Manchester to the North East isn't bad ;).

Weather here is horrible, lashing it down - but must go oout to pick up some wool from http://www.kempswoolshop.com/?gclid=CMm_-ImYkJMCFQZOMAodJGu_Yg a great place and often mentioned on the knitting thread. Unfortunately they are so inundated with internet orders that they'll only keep it till the end of today for me :o. I can go now though as my parcel has arrived - yet another book, for the wee, small hours when I can't sleep.

    Have a good weekend y'all :T

    Afternoon all...... I think.

Happy Birthday CwtA. :bdaycake:Is it me, or have we had quite a few b'days just lately? What a bummer about the (non)move. I bet you're gutted.:(

    Welcome Tiger.:hello:

Suep we changed to O2 broadband a little over a year ago, after AOL screwed up royally and refused to help sort it out.

    Sharon have a super weekend!

Still feeling totally and utterly carp. Haven't even got dressed today, which is not like me at all. And I do think its a bit much to go to the loo, and not have sufficient energy to get up off it again! Come on, own up - who's had all the spoons??

Hope I'm a bit better tomorrow; we have a visit to the Concrete Cow Brewery scheduled, with the local CAMRA branch.:o

A bit of good news - Molly Dog will be coming to stay for a week in August. We had an email from her "dad" the other day - I think the family are off to France, they usually go there aroung the beginning of August. Must practise my ball-throwing technique.:T

    :T

you meant hassie there right :) i too am glad he is doing better now and it all went off ok the other day hassie.

careful do have a good day, *fingers crossed* the move isnt cancelled alltogether, 2months wait isnt ideal, but is better than not at all.

lw dont tell anyone, but i discovered it is much much easier to get dressed if you never bothered to get undressed in the first place (and if i go swimming i end up getting dressed in clean clothes again anyway). hope you get your spoons back in time for the visit tomorrow.

everyone else hope all the mooky, bleurgh , lack of spoons goes away and have a good weekend.

just phoned o2 to find out how to cancel this upgrade/free broadband and he said just send everything back. since im tied to bt until december i may as well wait till then and stick with old o2 mobile tarriff etc until then rather than loose out on the free broadband for 6months, if i dont and wait ill be stucj missing out on the free bb for 18mths. not entirely sure the guy i was speaking to understood what i wanted though.

Right, Ive had to make a list of everyone I want to reply too as theres so many of you today.

hassie I did what you said and instead of saying subscribe it said unsubscribe ! I must of done it and forgotten  but I wasnt getting any email notification, so I had to unsubscribe and then subscribe again so I could pick emails ! Thanks for the help.

Tiger Ive done 2 pain management courses, one was about 10 years ago and I found it very helpful then last year I got referred to the pain clinic and was told I should do it again as it had all changed now and was much better, it hadnt changed and was a waste of time for me as I already knew it all, but if youve not done it before its very helpful.

Sharon Im glad you had a nice time in Birmingham with your dd , have a good weekend, I hope the weather improves for you.

cwta you must be so angry about the landlady letting you down like this, Im so sorry, and what a day to find out ! I do hope it's a set back and not completely off, and that the whole thing hasnt ruined your birthday.

(but unsub then sub in the thread tools works too and is what i do when i stop getting notifications).

hi guys, I'm knackered so only a short post.... to say we've found the suits today!! YAY!!!!! Cannot tell you how happy I am or what a relief it is or how much of a weight of it is!! We got a really good price too... we asked where the big and tall suit shop was while we were in Manchester today and ended up in Slaters...told the guy exactly what I/we wanted and he pulled it out of the bag for £69! For jacket & trews! And free alterations!! We've put half down and they're holding it til Sept when DF'll go in and have the alterations done, so he's under no pressure to lose any weight or stay the same :D DF's going in with the groomsmen (incl my 11yr old nephew - so not too expenny for a suit e'll likely wear only once!) in a couple of weeks to get the guys measured up and they'll order them in and we're planning to meet my folks in Birmingham (where there's another Slaters) to get my Dad sorted with his and we'll trundle off to the jewellry quarter to try and get my ring done....the guy today was a joker! He wanted £870  for a plain 18ct white gold band that's slightly shaped! I asked if that was the best price he could do and they knocked it down (with a little haggling) to £702! They also wanted to take my engagement ring (which is now discontinued so irreplaceable) for 8 WEEKS!!! Then when it was clear I/we were still unimpressed they started trying on the hard sell so we left. *sigh* Anyone been anywhere in the jewellry quarter for bespoke jewellry?

Sorry to be all me me me.

    Hi Tiger, welcome.

Sorry you had such rubbish news about the house Cwta.

Sorry to everyone else, I know some of you are feeling ridiculously spoonless, as am I, so I'm off to watch some more dvds ;)
