  • raeh, sores at the corner of the mouth that don't heal are a definitive sign of a weakened immune system (say Dr Axe). *g*

Pcl, buy some toastie bags and do em in the toaster. I bought some and I've never looked back! ;):D
That would've been my second suggestion :D And similar to what Raeh said PCL I always used to spread margarine/butter on the outside of the bread so it didn't stick to the (nonstick ) toastie maker.

Kass I'd be annoyed too, you're not on your own there, but I know what you mean about things annoying you more than they would if you were feeling more "on form".
and speaking of itchy hair stuffs how do you tell the difference between dandruff and dry itchy scalp?
Well, sometimes it's a bit of guess work to be honest, but I've always used an anti-dandruff shampoo (Head & Shoulders) and I still get it (but can notice the difference if I don't use it, so know it's working), plus the ecsema is in one spot only (unless really run down) and isn't just like flakey scalp cos it gets to the point of raw. Plus, like Raeh I have bits that pop up in other places on my body (corners of eyes, sometimes the corner of mouth, and on hands) and family history of ecsema. So I put 2&2 together and asked GP and he agreed.

Raeh I'm the same with both the itching and the ecsema patches. For some reason summer is worse for the ecsema, but apparently that's to do with sweaty salty skin in skin traps (like the folds of the eyelid etc). The itches are worse some times that at others, usually when using Tramadol although if I get really warm that's a factor too (like the bath last week).
bz, you've got it on yer yed?! Blimey. I didn't even know I had a yed.
    Where's yours? :D
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist when I was typing it! :rotfl: And I know you full well know what a yed is as you used to reside up this way, so nice try Auntie Axe, better luck next time! ;):p
kass, whether or not it's been your decision to come off your meds and so you have pain or not, it doesn't change the fact that you ARE in pain from the very reason that we are all here on this thread, so of course you can lean on us even if you choose call it whinging and moaning. ;)
    Wot she said :D
Plus, it didn't stop me! ;)

On another note, if any of you guys want my email address, in the same sorta vain as S/e and Cwta meeting up, then send me a PM?

On yet another note, I can't believe I nearly forgot to put Dee-lite's "Groove is in the heart" on my reception playlist!

Bluddy 'ell raeh, thank the gods it's not only me!! I bit into a sandwich the other week and split both sides of me mouth  That'll teach me for being a greedy b!tch :o They just won't heal though. I've never heard of someone being that greedy they split their mouth open choffing :rotfl: I was laughing at myself but it is sore though.

I've not asked the doc cos I don't want to get done for going on the diet so I've just come off them. I might just take a smaller dose but that does feel like self medicating and you get done for that too. :o

Dentist told me my mouth is decayed all the way along my top Jaw. I asked her if I must not be brushing properly and she said it's because I'm immuno-suppressive and my body can't tackle it.

It made me wonder if that's what the dentist in Ireland was on about. She was foreign so communication between us wasn't that good but I remember her saying to me that she was quite concerned at the amount of abcesses I had that had shown up on the x-ray. She said I had them all the way along my top Jaw and said I must have something wrong with my blood. She refered me then to the hospital for my dental work doing but I came back to England before I got an appointment.

I was wondering about bz's yed but didn't like to ask. We all have different names for our front bums :o

You're havin a go at me for saying "my yed" (which is just 'my head' ->'my 'ed' ->'m'yed' btw! Nothing whatsoever to do with "front bums" :rotfl:) and then come out with "choffing"!! :rotfl:

Why would he tell you off for going on a diet? And what makes you think that your diet (which seems to me like just a restrictive calorie thing rather than anything that would interfere medication-wise ) would cause problems with your meds? Please, for goodness sake, at least ask your doctor, then you know the facts before you makes your mind up to risk it or not. Please?

Re the dental ulcers, I have one above my front tooth that's been there for...3yrs? 4 maybe? They tried doing root canals etc but there was always a bit left and my dentist said the only way to take it out is to do a "procedure" (sounds awfully like a scary op to me!) in hospital to drill through the front of my gum, up into the cavity where the ulcer is sitting and take it out that way, removing the tip of the root of my tooth at the same time. Funnily enough I didn't go for that! It gets bigger and smaller depending on how run down etc I am. :o I asked her whether the ulcer would likely be dragging my immune system down (as at the time I knew I was ill a lot but not that it was this) and she said that it would more likely be the other way round. So I left it.

Oh and don't be worried about being fat at my wedding - I will be so everyone else has to be to make me look proportional! :rotfl:

ooh thanks, ill try that raeh. its quite possible i didnt, aside form the fact the seal on the box was open and the instructions not there i dont even know if i ever actually took it out of the box or used it before.
bz i did the butter ont he outside, figured yesterdays failing was because i spread it too thin so layered it on thicker than i ever would normally today and then ended up melting my plastic spatula trying to make it come unstuck. i always forget that heat and plastic dont mix, thought id been doing well remembering metal doesnt go with non stick.
didnt see the toaster bags in tescos so may have one more go later in the week before shoving it back in the cupboar to be forotten again.

    kass what part of ireland?

i seem to be missing things out left right and center today, until someone else mentions it or quotes it and then i discover i ahve either not read or not taken in said thing. so forgive me for skipping important things out, im not meaning to.

We, from the town(s) round here always get [strike]accused of[/strike] asked whether we're from Yorkshire when we venture anywhere else. For some reason the two get confused in peoples' yeds ;) My bro & SIL live in Derby(shire) too...luverly round there :D Might have to pop in next time we go ;)
I'm glad I wasn't eating/drinking when I read what Kass was thinking of too! :rotfl:

Sound YUMMY. DF was in a bit of a stinky mood (once more ) and has been going on about wanting the Boom Blox game for the Wii, so I sent him off to spend the £20 housewarming present giftcard for Asda we'd been given to cheer him up. He ended up also buying an edging tool for the lawn, a trowel and fork set and 2 garden kneeling pads (what you're expecting me to get down on my hands and knees in the mud??) He also got some of those mini chocolate dipped donuts for dessert...funnily enough...there are none left! ;) It was a good supper after the tasty (and from scratch!!) fajitas with kidney bean rice I'd made for tea though :) Was very impressed with my wee self though *nods* :D

Erm, well it's still a work in progress (because there's so many we've forgotten to add! and because we now have too many for the time we have ) but you're welcome to have a gander? I can always email it...it's in an Excel spreadsheet cos I'm [strike]an uber geek[/strike] organised ;) I'm intrigued to see these dancemoves though :D I'm picturing bodies, complete with crutches/splints/aids of various descriptions encircling handbags on the floor...which of course none of yous would be able to pick back up!! :rotfl:

Just for you...(and the [strike]nosey[/strike] interested others ;)) click here. I've added some new ones that I remembered about too, so if you'd seen them before there are actually diff pics. Molly and Buddy are "our" sort of collective dogs (were DF's and MiL2B's but when she's in hospital or worse then they're ours). The others are my foster pets ;)
