Hi there....first timer here
Just wondered if I could have some advice please? (I know these questions have probably been asked before so I'll apologise now if I'm duplicating).
I have been reading the threads on this site and find it facinating!! I took out a loan with Northern Rock about 6 years ago....can't remember the exact time and don't think I have any paperwork on it either....It was originally for £15,500 but as per usual borrowed more and more until it finally reached £25,000!! I ended up paying this off in February last year after remortgaging my house. I honestly can't remember if I had PPI on this loan but think I did when it was taken out in the first place.
I also have a Cap One cc and Halifax cc, both of which were taken out over 5 years ago......
Will I still be able to claim??
Thanks very much.......any comments greatly appreciated!!PAYDBX17 #29 £760.19/10000 :j0 -

pmsl:rotfl: sorry to be rude and laugh its just you called me dreamweaver.:rotfl:
In what way was it mis-sold, you would have to state the evidence as to why you think it was mis-sold to the company.:wave:0 -
Basically in order for you to decide on the merits of legal action you must have all the information available, hence the reason for disclosure.
So for example you are wishing to sue the lender or insurer for a breach of the Law of agency, you need to be able to prove that the breach existed, and the only way to prove that the breach existed is to have all the information
As I said the law is there to protect you. If and when the lender refuses then this could be deemed by a judge as unreasonable, and it will not go in favour of the lender.0 -
If you want information about your loans or credit cards to see if you have PPI or to calculate the PPI amount send an SAR full letter and explanation on this thread page I.DS1 12/10/04

So what I would need to do is write to FP and ask them to disclose what commissions were received and paid to all parties in the sale.:wave:0 -
Hi folks
Just very quickly as busy busy busy lol.
Heard from the Ombudsman's adjudcator by email, (out of the blue), she enclosed a copy of the letter sent to lloyds tsb by attachment, and also agrees this should be upheld, the FOS have asked them to get back by the 19th Feb with a verdict of this case.
Its a huge email lol, but looking good, catch ya lata.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
So if on the documents you received with the loan papers there is a disclosed commission then that would not be a "secret commission". I remember someone on here putting their docs on and it actually stated the commission payment in them. Would this be deemed as "secret" then?

Is there a difference between "disclosed commission" and what is classed a secret commission?0 -
