  • They are in partnership with HSBC Bank.
Could you not go down the same route with HSBC as we are doing with Tesco and going through RBS. It is just a suggestion. You could possibly ring the ombudsman back and tell them this.

I am really gutted for you and hope there is some way you can take this forward.

    Good luck

I would do like showergirl says and make a complaint again through HSBC. I know people on here that have got their PPI back from credit cards 10 years ago.

I have just rung HSBC they say that all complaints should be directed to Marks & Spencer.

Who else can I turn to?

Was their name on the credit agreement. Or you could try to contact the ombudsman again and tell them that M&S are in partnership with HSBC. It must surely be the same as the Tesco claim where we have had to deal with RBS. I really wish I could be of more help to you. Hang in there someone will come up with an idea

    Can someone help please?

Took out a secured loan in sept 2006. Went through a broker (norton finance) but got loan with Endeavour Personal Finance. We have recently discovered (through a letter sent from Endeavour informing of interest rate cuts) that we are paying around 40.00 per mth for PPI.

When we took out the loan i remember having comversation with norton about PPI on the loan and told them it wasnt needed as we both had secure jobs and was told that we could opt out but we would be paying a higher int. rate as we would be classed as 'at risk'.

Also we were never asked any questions about our circs. so dont feel we were sold it our best interests. We also never received any terms and cond. for this insurance. We were never told about any exclusions the PPI may have or were we told it only covered my hubby and not me!(found this out today).

Not sure if we would have case for mis-selling or not..............

    any advice appreciated.

    Thanks:confused:

Hi Thanks for that Incipience. Take that on board and understand what you are saying. That makes sense. Lets hope that they respond to the nice approach. Perhaps we can encourage people to post on here how that is working so that we all know.:D

Thats the strongest case of mis selling I have heard, so I would get in touch with them and say you believe you were mis sold and why and take it from there.
