    evening all

    just a quicky please
i'm trying to get ppi and credit charges back from NATWEST and TESCO. i have sent letter 1, they replyed quickly (about 4 days) (both i think are rbs),saying that they have no details of me, i gave my full name, address, d.o.b, but still nothing. i think my cards were paid of poss 2005/6.

any ideas on how to get the info? i did phone tesco finance and they said i could get the info but it costs alot of money! was he talking about sar letter?

    any help thanx

They can only charge you £10 which is not a lot compared to if you win so I would get one as it sounds like they are trying to make some money back from all the redress's they are having to pay out.

    There is a sample here.

Sorry Pammie, I thought you had already requested a SAR before.

It would be a good idea like Marshallka says if you have not done so yet.;)

i haven't requested any sar letters yet, money is quite short a the mo (just waiting on 3x credit card reclaims to be paid) then i can do it. why is it they can find my details if i pay £10 to both of them (even though they are both under rbs) but they can't find my details through a letter or a phone call????

With a SAR they "must" or should comply to this.
If they don't then you can ask the ICO to help in this case, they will try to chase this up for you.

They must have something on this, as its not that long when you settled, they may be pulling a fast one.

And then if they do not comply with the information they should really put it into writing with an explanation.;)

With SAR's there is lots more involved and information to collect.
As from the sale of your finance to the end, and whatever you have with them, say if you had 3 or 4 loans in the last 6 years then you should receive ALL the information/documents based on these and phone calls, things like that.;)
So there is more to go by with a SAR.

    Hope this helps Pammie.:DXX

    Just re-read your post Pammie......:D

For a PPI reclaim its 8 weeks they have in full.
    They are all the same.

The 12 days is for that of a CCA request (a copy of your agreement).
So this is why you have not heard anything on this yet, because its all 8 weeks for reclaiming.;)

Then of course as stated in my above post its 40 days for a SAR request.XX

    SAR request = 40 days

CCA is for the agreement request = 12 days

    Reclaiming = 8 weeks.

    night all.

    Your welcome Pammie.

It can be confusing when you first start with this, but you will get used to it.
Even now I still get things wrong lol........:o:D, but I know if I am I will be corrected by these lovely lot on here, which is cool.

Hope you hear sooner than the 8 weeks though, because it can still happen, the 8 weeks is just the deadline, so say if you heard nothing you can then if you want to ask the FOS (Financial ombudsman service) to investigate, just as long as those 8 weeks have passed.;)

Night Pammie, speak soon hun, sweet dreams.:A

I just had a similar thing (see above) the adjudicator looked a the case and made up his mind that MBNA had missold the PPI. He made his finds and MBNA didn't respond so i was awaiting the ruling of the ombudsman. weeks have past and I had heard nothing, then today I get a letter saying MBNA have "rolled over" and will as a matter of goodwill only payback the money.

I had thought that i was waiting for the ombudsman to make a ruling, but it hadn't even got that far. I don't understand why if they have a deadline to respond and miss it or not provide further information to support thier side that the adjuicators findings stand and are final. It would surely make them act more quickly if they knew no response was a acceptance of the adjudication and the case would not go to the obudsman.

It is very frustrating and the wait for a result seems too long.

It is so frustraiting thanks for reply... Hope laons.co.uk do the same
I have 2 PPI claims all being dealt with by FOS could do with a win. I also have 1 PPI claim with FSCS because company gone bankrupt.
I have claim for bank charges on-hold for 3year

    Good-luck all
