    Hi,

Just looking for some advice, I took out a credit card with MBNA back in 2000 when I was a student and have had PPI on the agreement since it started, although I don't remember agreeing to it. I have coeliac disease and it has close links with many illnesses, including cancer, because I this I think it goes against the T&C's on the PPI agreement and I wouldn't get paid out for illness if needed.

Because of the combination of this and not being properly advised at the time of account opening do you think it is worth while making a claim?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mark

    Hi There

Alright loveys! Thought I'd best give you an update in case you thought I was in prison or something :rotfl:Hope everyone is well? ;)

In the post this week was OH last Halifax loan reclaim which was a fantastic £5429.61 :T:T:T It's a live loan so amount repaid on outstanding balance but wow! I wrote to them in December and it's the only creditor to pay up after a few letters for OH being self employed. If only the others would play so nice too!

I really want to thank you guys really for what the help and support you have given me. You really have made a difference.

    Thank you so much xxx

  • Hi,

congratulations on getting a refund, quick question regarding ppi and self employment, I have been self employed since I took out my PPi in Feb 2001, does this mean I have never been covered ??
This was never explained to me at the time, nothing was explained.

    Sandy.

Hi, I'm just about to start the process for a loan I took out with Abbey which ended in Nov 04.

However, I'm not sure what address I would use to send my initial letter?

    Any one able to advise?

    Hi Sandy

This may be likely, but check your terms and conds of your policy as some vary from company to company.

    Hi there

    Good luck with your claim.

There is an address thread in the forums, but here is are the details anyway here:

    Abbey National Bank
    Abbey National House
    2 Triton Square
    London
    NW1 3AN

Think this is the correct address, otherwise hopefully someone else will confirm.;)

    Hi Mark

I agree with Maxdp, and would try to reclaim on the PPI, here below is the link to the guidelines of ppi reclaiming with templates, follow the guidelines, good luck and post up for help if required.;)

    Hi All

At last I got my money from FP but I'm not sure they have calculated it correctly so I contacted the FOS again to see whether the 8% interest should be calculated from the date the loan was settled, or the date the loan started and they sent me a note which included this:- (I'll post up the full version of the note in my next post as it may help others).

    http://docs.google.com/View?id=dgznc8sp_5gqvmh4gh

Please see here the gist of FP's letter to me:-

I'm no good at calculations and was wondering if anyone would know whether the interest figure they have worked out of £1,035.86 is in line with what the FOS said.

    Thanks in advance.
