Hi, hope Im posting this correctly! Basically, my husband has had several loans through Lloyds Bank and with it was BLRI (Business Loan Repayment Insurance) I guess just like PPI. Anyway, after reading Martins information on PPi concerning self employment we figured we had a viable case, my husband was never asked if he worked more that the allowed 16 hours per wee, he wasnt even made aware of the fact that he had to have insurance or he had to use someone. I sent the first template letter, and keeping it short the reply was that after looking into it that we were aware as we signed the box and that a policy schedule etc was sent to us so we mst have known. Their letter only states the loan taken out in feb 2006 although we have had previous loans to this we which we wrote to them about, we still have copies of these agreements, but they have not acknowledged these. Shall I send another letter or is it just a waste of time.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
did you include all the loan account numbers in your complaint, also you need to point out that as your husband has always worked less then 16 hours that the policy was useless to him as he would be unable to make a claim if he was working less than 16 hours and the person who originally sold him the policy should have know (or asked the question ) and they have sold him a completely useless set of policies

    Hi,

I received a letter from Bank of Scotland on 7th March telling me they would contact me shortly. I received my next letter from them on 17th April confirming the details.

    Hope that helps!

Oh, and I received the money (pay out) into my bank account on 5th May.

    Thanks for that girlatplay
Thats useful information. I think I will keep writing to them each week untill I get a result as this complaint has been on going since February. They are so quick to take money from you but not so quick to give it back.

If the Barclaycard settlement hasnt arrived by 5pm today I have a letter ready to go to them, this complaint has been on going since February as well. I may even follow it up with a phone call.

Has anyone had a settlement from Barclaycard? If so haow long did they take?

 lloyds have agreed with ombudsman to pay back all premiums plus interest as a "gesture of goodwill"!! - along with £200 compensation. Anyone any good with figures - turboman perhaps?? what the kind of sum is I am looking to receive, as I have to accept and then the figures come to me to accept again - its 5 years at £50 a month that I paid on PPI and the ombudsman say you get an extra 8% per year on payments made - Di especially and everyone else - I owe you a drink. THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH - will post on success board when I get final settlement figure:beer:

Assuming £50 per month is just the PPI element of the monthly payment and you paid from 1/5/2004 for 60 payments
    • Refund Payments = £3,000
    • 8% interest up to 30/5/2009 = £632
    aka Calculator

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.

    Hi maxdp
Have you contacted Barclay card at all in those 6 weeks, either by phone or letter?

Hi all, I am in need of some advice please as getting very confused. I am trying to reclaim for PPI on a loan I took out in May 2001. I purchased a car on HP at Hartwell Ford and the finance was arranged with GE Money. I completed the payments in April 2006 and shortly after began trying to reclaim my ppi - £50 per month. Initially I approached GE Money with the template letter from this site and was told that I need to take the issue up with Hartwell Ford. I contacted Hartwell who have told me that they wern't covered by the FSA at that time and so I have no claim.
Firstly, should I be pursuing Hartwell or GE Money? And in which case what should be my next move? As far as I am aware Hartwell where not covered by the FLA either??
Any advice would be much appreciated - many thanks all x
