My wife has just told me off for the foul language coming from the office.

How dare they treat you like this.

I have had dealings with gangsters like this and I am on the most hated list at a couple of debt collectors agency.

I will help compose a letter that will go off to Welcome Finance, OFT and FOS. This bully boy will be the one quaking after we have dealt with him.

I have time on my hands as school holidays and I know a few people from another site (you know who amersall) who will pitch in with their views.

We are going to scythe them down:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Please send the following email to info@wfs.co.uk

    Subject complaints procedure

    Name address ref number

I would be grateful if I could have a copy of the complaints procedure operated by your company. In particular I am very interested in the sections that cover employees conduct with customers, the fraudulent completion of loan documentatio by an employee and finally the section on harrasment. I would also like the name and address of the acting CEO so I can write to them personally regarding this matter.

I am instructing you not to contact me by phone and that all correspondence be in the written form excluding any text messages.

    Yours

I will get back to you in a couple of days. Prehaps we should continue this on a seperate thread as well.

I'll be back, in the meantime shoot this across their bows. They are of course in administration (there is a wonder) so we have this at our advantage. Also write letters to equifax/experian and tell them you are disputing the defaults with WF and you want this noting on your credit file.

My ultimate goal here is to get the loan written off in its entirity.

    Chin Up

Hi, Thanks Niggly and IanC for your advice.

Niggly with regard to my last loan i actually made a successful claim on this loan and a payment of £9,000. was made. So i am guessing as i actually claimed on the loan they are not going to reimburse me in anyway.

What are your thoughts? And do you think i should accept this? Regards,

    Chrissie:money:
I would bite their hand off as they really could have said no reclaim payments exceed compensation. Trust me take it.

Having read a couple of the Lloyds letters it would seem that is what they do. So it may be your are in for a bigger cheque. I am very cautious so I just use conservative assumptions when it comes to this. The trouble is that in these cases the FOS have made suggestions on how to deal but ultimately the final calculations are down to each lender. What ever the fig its going to be a biggy. I just wish they would speed things up for you. I know they use computers to work out the redress in each firm. I think its a case of so many claims to pay and not enough qualified staff to make them.

I suppose every day that goes past is more interest on the money and you wont find many deposit accounts that pay 8% gross.

Thank you so much for your support Niggly-would you believe your calculations are within £6 of what they have sent today!! husband rang this afternoon just after i posted to say 2 cheques had arrived but with no calculations just a letter saying that as we had agreed ( had'nt agreed to anything so i want to see te calculations) to the refund here are the cheques! firstly we have had no contact at all since the generic letter on 24 June stating they had now been allowed until 31 Aug to resolve, so OH rang to ask what the cheques refer to - seemingly this is only for the first one plus £68 refund of arrangement fees charged!! There are more payments and full calculations winging their way they said and will see them in next couple of days.... I'm really not one for counting my chickens but she did say that the total is just over £11,000!:j
As I said i will believe it when i see the money cleared in our account which incidentally should be next day as they are not cheques but bankers drafts being issued!
I will post on successes page when all have come in - I am curious to see what the calculations are also.

This website and especially forum has really helped us to get back what is rightfully ours and help us to stop spending what we dont have!!

Thank you for your help Niggly and to all the posters for their different stories, hang on in there - your day will come!

Quick question for Niggly to see if I have done a calculation correctly.

    Credit Card PPI

    £10/month

Since 1998 (call it 156 months for ease of numbers) as the card is still running.

    APR on card 29%

How much would you expect the refund to be with the 8% interest added on.

    Sorry missed this one

    £2729 (1560 principal 1169 interest)

Hi very new to this thread so please be patient Im usually just a lingerer around the grabbits board !! thanks to Martin I was inspired to claim back PPI which I was sold with my Mortgage with LLoyds. The policy started in March 1994 and paid monthly £18.90 + an insurance premium tax of 0.95p every month. I started a claim for misselling in July 2010 and I also cancelled my policy with them at that time. I had a letter today from the FOS telling me Lloyds have now agreed to make an offer to settle which will be based on the general approach that the FOS takes when they decide that a consumer has been missold a PPI policy. I understand they will refund the premiums, add interest at the rate of 8% simple (what is this?) per year from the date the premium was paid to the date of settlement. The FOS write that if I would like to accept the offer i do not need take any action and if they dont hear from me in the next 14 day they will assume I am accepting the offer and will inform Lloyds TSB. So if anyone can help me with the calculations as to what I am accepting I would be very grateful. I worked it out at about £3400 but hubby says that is too much? please can anyone help Thanks very much

Hi and welcome and Well done!

Right, well I'm not the one for calculations and sure someone will be along soon to check this out for you, they may require just a few more details though, the date when it was taken out etc..

But below there is a thread on how the FOS calculates PPI refunds, so hope that will explain things until someone comes along, the best of luck.;)

Thanks I have read of the link but cant see anything relating to PPi linked to a mortgage. Policy started in March 1994 and I paid it until July 2010 when I cancelled it (p.s never made a claim on it) My family getting excited as I had promised children and grandchildren a holiday If Lloyds paid out. I'd love to treat my family so would be great if I could get a figure in mind. Thanks again

  • Hi guys I asked this in another thread

I'm currently have two claims going through with HFC which have been ongoing now for a year ( the court case delayed them) but now I am being told that a final decision will be made by Aug 31st what is the reason for this? as HFC have told ne nothing as to why just that decision will be made then?

starting to get frustrated with them now
