they are very good at this vanishing act, thats why i would take the time out to drop into your local branch its a pain but it works. They said id never had a loan with them! so after a little scene and the branch manager taking me into a room 6 loan account numbers all with ppi they know why you are looking for the info so will try and trip you before you even reach that first hurdle ;)[/QUOTE

i'm too cute for them mate, they've confirmed my suspicisions which told me that i was self employed when i took them out i'll give the emails a try then if i get no joy by monday i will be going to our local branch armed with the info i do have, now it just comes to get those account numbers and i'm good to go,then when i get them in it,will be payout time,i've deffo been misold.:T

brilliant attitude you go for them! and dont give up till you get your just rewards :D

• My case with RBS gets even weirder...

Two weeks ago (8th July) I was told by one of their complaints handlers that at the fourth time of asking they would uphold my claim. (A last minute review from being rejected the previous day). I had spent a month chasing this case up as it was with ombudsman. The handler for RBS said they would write to FOS and I would recieve a letter in 7-10 days with their offer.

Rang RBS on Monday for up date. Manchester said nothing to do with them. So given number for Bristol. Rang them. They said that they had sent an offer on 28th June to FOS on a big spreadsheet of offers. I said well what about this last minute review? They knew nothing about it. Nothing on file. I read him e-mail dated 8th July and he said they knew nothing about.

Rang FOS and they said that it could well on list but they were not sure.

Rang FOS again today and they confirmed my case was on a list and they would write to me within one month with an offer. I asked wht the delay and she said that RBS had strictly told them to only send out 250 letters a week as they were unable to keep up. I will happily wait another month, waited 15, so what is another one....

I have politely e-mailed my complaint handler asking for an explanation for the issue with dates etc and I wonder what information (BS) I'll get back!

Has anyone had any dealings with Opus? I am getting nowhere fast. I rang them again today and they say they sent me a letter last week but the gentleman on the phone didn't know what it was about. He gave me a number to ring, which I duly wrote down, to find it was the number I had rung him on.
Been on hold since February due to JR. Emailed Lloyds CEO last week but no response.

Right, this is what i would do,if you try this and get no joy then at least you will have tried.

First send an email to
robert.diamond@barclaysplc.com

Put what you have said here about the claims co and why this was allowed to get passed the 6 months to contact FOS.
Had you been given the information in time you would have followed this up with FOS,When the claims co folded you had already passed the timeline to take this further, you are dismayed that after having put the claim in again to FP they have rejected this due to the timescale.
Put you feel you are being treated unfairly by FP and think that due to circumstances beyond your control, you have now lost the chance of redress for this loan and are very disappointed with the way you have been treated.
Put that you will be sending a complaint to the FOS regarding this.

Then send the same email to FOS and stress this was beyond your control and could they help you in any way with this.

This may not work, but you wont know until you try.

Not sure who else you could email about this, but hopefully someone on here can make a suggestion

You need to get this sorted right now,the things they will do :mad::mad:

Write to lender and ask them to remove this charge or you will take this further, and you want it in writing when it has been removed.
Dont let the b***ers get you down :D
