Congratulations on successful claim from Loans.co.uk.

Could you please post address on this site to contact them coz I thought they weren't trading anymore.

    Thanks

Ok Turboman, here is the extra info:

    Less interest rebate £2445.77
    Less insurance premium rebate £2014.58
    Total settlement amount £14220.44

Will look at it Weds--unless Di can persuade Marshellka--she's better at these settled cases.

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.

Hi all - just a quickie to remind everyone of the great work done on here. After getting back my £550 from Egg, it has brought the date at which I can close that credir card forward by 9 whole months! NINE MONTHS LESS that it would ahve been without reclaiming.

If anyone is in any doubt, please do it. Don't take no for an answer and just keep arguing.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Thanks Turboman - or if anyone else can help in the meantime that would be great (please see previous post for all details).

I have already written to A&L demanding a full refund of premiums not just partial, but I would like some clarification on what I should be expecting.

My thoughts are that I should get roughly:

(original single premium + interest charged) - (early settlement rebate) + (8% statutory interest PA)

    Any thoughts?

What seems a little complex to work out would be the value for the 8% interest.

    Cheers guys.

hi. I sent off letters to fos in sept 07 and still waiting on response about tsb ppi. when i called them they said still waiting on adjudicator. can anyone advise on how long i should have to wait as it seems to be taking forever.

You are not on your own with this. I am still awaiting my PPI claim on LTSB Credit Cards to be allocated to a FOS Adjudicator and the FOS acknowledged receipt of my claim on 5th January 2008, nearly 14 months ago. I gave them a nudge by e-mail in July 2008 and again in January 2009. All i got was the standard " thankyou for your patience etc.". Well like you , i suspect, i am rapidly running out of patience with an official system that seems to have a very "hit or miss" element to how quickly your case is dealt with !.

    Hi Guys!

Got the decision from the FOS last week and it's GOOD NEWS!!!! :j They have ordered First Plus to pay me back in full what I have paid into the policy (currently still paying) + 8% interest on each payment. They also advised FP should pay me £200 in compensation for distress caused however FP have not agreed to pay the £200 compensation. I could ask for a final decision but FOS have said it could take several more months so I think I'm going to accept the offer I've got? My policy will also be cancelled so I'll be around £40 a month better off aswell. :p

To everyone thinking of claiming - DO IT!!!! I never thought I'd get anything back! Massive thanks to everyone on here who encouraged me to keep fighting against First Plus! :j :j

That's my interpretation of how they work too! I don't know if some of the quick settlements I hear of are probably to do with the bank caving in very quickly as soon as they are made aware from the FOS that there is a dispute of any sort, or whether it seems an easy one for the FOS so they take on that case as quickly as possible.

Very difficult to know what they are up to, not to mention absolutely frustrating.
