  • do you think so? i will refuse then, have u any thoughts on my above post? any advise would be grateful. xxx
  • I applied online for a loan with northern rock, at the time I applied I declined the ppi, I remember the loan being accepted and the letter inviting me to phone if I changed my mind, on checking, ppi was added to the loan, checking my telephone statements, I had not rang them so I claimed.............and WON! If you think you were mis-sold, don't give in, it took me loads of letters and many months, but I got there! Go for it!

Sarah, they probably only sent you six years of statements if less you can chase for the missing ones. PPI for 6 months did you think you paid it longer?

  • Hi - I've previously posted on the discussion part 3 about a loan with 1st + that we got through a broker, Ocean. I've been reading all the links to info that incipience has posted for mine and other postings. I think I've got my head around things enough to take my next step - I've got all the paperwork supplied by the broker and FP but do you think that I should send off the new and improved SAR that includes all the stuff about brokers commissions to see what I get back?

  • well pink, i dont recall having it, let alone cancelling it, and for 7 months every month they were charging me overlimit and overdrawn charges and on them 7 months they were refunding it? only remember them refunding once as there was a postal strike and the payment reached them late? are or could they be altering the statements? xx

Its entirely up to you as to what you want to achieve. You wont need the commission info for mis selling, but ,and Insipience will correct me if Iam wrong, the commission bit could show up commission they have not told you about and you may be liable for that back.

Seems a bit strange they would refund it, anything is possible with Citi , but it seems a lot of trouble for them to go to. Why dont you try to reclaim them and then if they say they were already refunded ask why and that you were not aware of this. Sorry not much help really
