    Hello Di,

Thanks again for the response, I have just finished filling out the questioners and no, I haven't been working on it all this time since my last post, I have had a couple of brews in between:laugh:

I need to wait until Friday, when I can get some ink to print them off and as soon as I have they will be in the post, recorded and then I will see where it goes. I will definitely keep you informed and hopefully I will have something to celebrate:beer:

Good luck to everyone else aswell.

    LOL.:D:beer:

Well fingers crossed for you anyway.:)

I was just wondering after reading a fair few posts in the PPI threads, quite a lot of people seem to be getting the full amount + interest back, so when asking for my money back should I ask for the interest aswell? and how much would that be? 8% seem to be a common figure? I want to make sure I get every penny out of them as they did with me:D

hi there, some dont get the 8% especially if it is a good will gesture, if you dont get the 8% you have to go to fos and you could be waiting for months, also dont think fos will award it if you are getting all the payments of ppi plus interest back as the company have adressed your claim correctly, you could ask and you may get it back, good luck and keep us posted

    Hi :D

If they uphold in your favour, you should receive all the interest as well, plus 8% interest of what a court would award for being deprived of your money.

If they offer a goodwill gesture, the interest is not always included, sometimes it is, they can however still refund the full amount with interest with no liability as such.

To give you more of an idea, check how the FOS calculates PPI refunds on loans and credit cards ppi etc, on Maxdp's thread here:

    Fingers crossed.:)

E mailed the FOS yesterday to chase up my complaint and got letter back today.
'Still in queue to be looked at by Ombudsman.................and unable to provide a timescale due to the large volume of complaints received.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding'.
I have now made them aware of the financial hardship that it is causing me, as they already know about the blood pressure and cholesterol tablets that I am now on.
I have also asked them if the FSA ruling for the banks to revisit non upheld complaints excludes those already with the Ombudsman, as I believe this is the case.
976 days now since I first complained to Lloyds TSB (876 with the FOS)........................looks like I am going to reach and surpass the magical (not) 1,000.:(

    Hi,

I'm trying to read through the threads to get some information but I'm totally confused by it all!

Basically I took out a loan with Welcome Finance back in 2001 (I was very young and naive then) but I kept getting new loans to clear off the old previous load before was cleared...each time they would put PPI on it (I didn't realise I had a choice). I still have a loan with running with them now but want to try and claim back this PPI. Can I still do this? Also there is so much information on here that I'm not sure where to start. I have all my previous credit agreements with all the information on them.

    Thanks for your help. x
